About Golfing at Chandigarh Golf Club in Chandigarh

Those who have dreamt of learning the sport of golf, Chandigarh Golf Club is the perfect place to start from. Its beautifully laid out golf courses, 7,063 yard, 18 holes, floodlighting on the first nine holes, par-72 course, and challenging fairways make it a great spot to hone one’s golf skills. The gold course is among the most premier ones in India. The Golf Club in Chandigarh is also home to one of the longest par-5s in India, the seventh hole, which measures 613 yards. At the club, certified golf professionals and coaches teach aspiring golfers about techniques and equipment used in the sport for a commendable show, enabling them to surprise everyone with their expertise to swing.  

Laid out in 1962, this Golf Club, Chandigarh is located south of Sukhna Lake and adjacent to the residence of the Punjab Governor in Sector 6. The main Club building is home to restaurants, a swimming pool, offices, a gymnasium, changing and locker rooms, a fine clubhouse, and a basic Pro shop. The Pro Shop is the perfect place to get various men and women golf attire, putters, variety of golf clubs, and wedges. Placed on the first floor, Chandigarh Golf Club restaurant is multi-cuisine and can accommodate hundred people at a time. A formal bar is also there that overlooks the 9th and 18th greens. On the ground floor, there is a family bar, modelled on the lines of a Sports Bar, which welcomes people frequently.  Tea Terrace also provides impeccable services to golfers.

This Golf Club in Chandigarh is private and caters to only its members. So, it becomes mandatory for every golf enthusiast to join the club. To do so, they have to complete the Chandigarh Golf Club membership form and fill the required amount on time.

It was a wonderful experience touring with one of Travel Triangle's associated Tour Operator "Wild Lotus". the services were great. Special thanks to the Tour Manager Rakesh Gilly for being so cooperative. He has been always there for any assistance. The Hotels were as commited just had to compromise a bit with food at some hotels. Hotels provided at Shimla & Dharamshala were the best anyone can get at this price. Hotels at Manali, Dalhousie & Amritsar were also fair enough if compared to the price they charged. Even the car which was provided for local transport was new & in good condition as promised by Rakesh Gilly. The driver was very humble, professional & deciplined. The itenerary was very well planned by Rakesh Gilly & covered almost every tourist spot. In all it was a great experience & from now Wild Lotus will be my preferred tour operator when it comes to touring North India. Thanks again Rakesh Gilly.

Overall trip was good. They followed whatever mentioned in the package. Only thing is we felt that the driver was not properly briefed. For the first day we reached Chandigarh very late hence we had to take dinner on the way other than from the booked hotel. This expense has been agreed and allowed to deduct. Appreciate for that. The hotel at Chandigarh was fine. But hotel at Amritsar was not that much standard one. Plus the dining area was not good place. Food was very good in both places. Car driver is very good. driving was perfect. But there was no space at all in this Innova to keep the luggage. we struggled to accommodate and had to keep in the seats. We all came from different places hence all were having luggage. Overall it is very good.

Chandigarh Golf Club is open 5:00 Am to 10:30 PM from Tuesday to Sunday. It remains closed on Mondays.
