The Dilwara Temple or the Dilwara Jain Temple in Mount Abu is a major attraction for tourists and locals. It is located a little more than 2.5 kilometers away from the city center. Constructed by Vastapul Tejpal, these temples were built between the 11th and the 13th centuries. They are world famous for the marble used in their construction, and the amazing detailed designing that is done on them.

When talking about the Dilwara Temple history, which is a sacred pilgrimage site for the Jains, you mustn’t forget that the temple was dedicated to Lord Rishabha. There are five temples inside, including Vimal Vasahi, Luna Vasahi, Mahavir Swami, Pithalhar, and Parshvanath. All five of these temples, which have been named after the small villages in which they are located, has beautiful idols inside them.

The Dilwara Temple timings are different for Jain pilgrims and tourists. For Jain pilgrims, the temples remain open from 6 am in the morning to 6 pm in the afternoon. For the tourists and the non-Jain community, the temple remains open from 12 pm in the afternoon to 6 pm in the evening. The Dilwara Temple in Mount Abu is located right in the midst of a lush green forest land and is surrounded by a high wall.
