Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary

Mount Abu is one of the greenest places to be in when in Rajasthan. It is famed as an oasis in the middle of the desert, and is home to one of the best wildlife sanctuaries of the state, the Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary. There are several species of animals here including tigers, leopards, wolves, hyenas, sambhars, wild boars, jackals and foxes among other less predatory animals such as rabbits, mongooses, langurs, porcupines and hedgehogs. There are also nearly 250 unique species of birds here, so it is a must visit for bird lovers.

The best time to visit Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary can be considered during the months of February to June. The Mount Abu wildlife sanctuary timings are from 9 am to 5:30 pm. It is advisable to visit the wildlife sanctuary early morning, so that you can get the maximum chances of spotting wildlife. There is no Mount Abu wildlife sanctuary entry fee, but for a safari, the packages start from INR 300. The prices for the Mount Abu wildlife sanctuary safari changes based on the sort of safari experience that you are looking to get. Make sure to enjoy a visit to the sanctuary, if not for looking at animals then for the lush greenery and the sense of tranquility that it offers.

The Driver (Rakesh) never said "no" to any of our requests. He gave us all the right suggestions, being a local in Rajasthan, which also helped us very much.
