Boulders Beach Tour, Cape Town (South Africa)

Cape Town is a city surrounded by beautiful and exciting beaches, and one of the most interesting ones is Boulders Beach. It is a sheltered coast comprising of inlets between granite boulders, which gave the beach its name. Located near Simon’s Town, the main attraction here are the Boulders Beach penguins. But other than that, there are options like kayaking, shark expeditions and more to indulge near Boulders Beach, Cape Town.

Attractions of Boulders Beach

It is surprising to find penguins, who we know to be Antarctic creatures, over here in a hot beach of South Africa. But these animals are endemic to the South African and Namibian coastlines and have been breeding here for over a century. The Penguins first came to the shore of False Bay from Dyer Island near Gaansbai in the last century, and there were plenty of them. But because of commercial activities and marine pollution, by 1982, only two breeding pairs remained. Conservation efforts were made from the authorities and now you can see over 3000 birds fluttering and braying around the Boulders Bay Beach.

Boulders Beach Tour

Boulders Beach tour is ideal for a day of camping and picnicking. To get a much better view of the penguins, take the dune-covered walkway around the Foxy Beach, where there are chances of more up-close encounters with the animals. Right above the high water mark on the beach, there are a number of minuscule bays, enclosed by granite boulders which are more than 540 million years old. Here one can get the most unique experience of Boulders Beach to swim with penguins. Kayaking, boating and shark diving are some other cool experiences one can have at other locations near Boulders Beach, Cape Town, South Africa. In the beach itself, no vehicles are allowed.

Things to Do in Boulders Beach

Boulders Beach is a very beautiful and tranquil beach famous for its rounded and dramatic boulders, turquoise water, and a large number of African penguins. The beach is also a good option to enjoy sunbathing as the round boulders serve as a barrier to protect from wind and strong waves which makes it possible for the visitors to lay down and relax while being soaked in the sun. The beach has three boardwalks from where one can enjoy birdwatching. There is also a separate penguin viewing area from where one can watch penguins playing, swimming and feeding their young ones.

The trip was very good, driver cum guide was very good and cooperative. Only the Town view hotel in which we stayed in Paro was not up to the mark as the management needs to improvise ceratin things other than that it was memorable trip for us.

    • Trip to Sri Lanka

First of all let me start with the sales agent Mr.darshana, I just gave him the no. of days I would be visiting Sri Lanka and he was amazingly quick to put together a plan for us in a couple of minutes, his choices of hotels were amazing, especially the views from the rooms. Their prices are reasonable and services are excellent. We landed on 6th august,2019 in SL and the guide(Mr.Ramesh) was waiting for us patiently with the name board,he was not difficult to find. He was courteous and polite and helped us board the vehicle and start our trip to the different destination in sri lanka. We travelled from Colombo->Kandy->Nuweraellaya->ella->Beruwala(water sports and river safari). They even plan a day trip to visit the town of Galle from beruwala. I would definitely suggest Relax Lanka Tours to anyone travelling to Sri Lanka.

    • Trip to Sri Lanka

Before even I start my feedback for trip and tour operators, let me start by saying that I had few initial hiccups as I had read bad reviews on few of the review sites for the tour operator that I chose. However this trip had been amazing and everything met expectations. A small complain on the trip though with the Hotel choice in nuwara eliya, beside that nothing else to complain about. I wanted to give 4 stars because of the hotel choice but one star extra because of our driver Inthizam (amazing guy) and our tour coordinator Nurshida (lovely lady) who made the difference. Thank you so much guys. Anyways I only have praises for travel triangle, Vishal from travel triangle, direct link the tour company, Inthizam the driver and Nurshida the tour coordinator. It was a good trip with lovely memories. Sri Lanka is a nice place to visit. culture, location, beaches, history, heritage, small hills, tea plantation, European feel towns, etc etc all at one place. PS: 1. Opt for two days in nuwara eliya if you going in peak season. One day might not be enough to appreciate the beauty. 2. Opt for Oak Ray elephant lake resort when visiting sigriya and around. It's an amazing hotel with amazing amazing pool. 3. Go for local cuisines and look at authentic but not so flashy restaurant to get authentic taste while in Sri Lanka. Pocket friendly also. 4. Last people in Sri Lanka are down to earth, inviting and friendly in general. Ayubowan

It was an awesome and romantic memorable honeymoon trip in Andaman. Furthermore we received an excellent service from Andaman Ecstasy. The complete trip of 6days 5 nights was well organised, timed and every plan was pre-informed perfectly by Mr Arief such that, we were able to enjoy every bit of it at it's full without any tension. Neil and Havelock are very beautiful. Watersports, stay, travelling all gave us wonderful experience. Food was delicious, got comfortable stays. Marina Manor in Port Blair was nice and near to town. Holiday Inn in Havelock, an awesome beach resort where you should enjoy sunrise. Thanks a lot to all Andaman Ecstasy crew to make it more memorable. Special thanks to Mr Arief. Thanks to Jhon and Asir. Thanks to Muthu to gave an complete idea about the trip and suggestions even before it starts.

The trip was very satisfying. The driver/guide & all other arrangements were very good. Only thing is my stay in Munnar was quite far from main town which meant that I was not able to stay in town to watch the Kalaripayattu show till 8 pm. If I was able to watch the show I would have given it a 10.

    • Trip to Andaman

We have booked our Andaman Trip through Travel Triangle with ‘Destiny Holidays’ and we have experience really good service from Sushma, who not only guided us to arrange our trip but also suggested what best we can do within available timeframe. This tour was made very special by Tour Manager Eswar and his Team. They have guided us at every point and provided nice info about every tourist destination. Our Trip was planned: Port Blair – Havelock- Neil Island – Port Blair. We stayed Hotel ‘GB Ocenia’ during our stay in Port Blair, We have been upgraded by Hotel staff and received very nice and special room, which is perfect for Family. This Hotel is in middle of Town and very close to Airport. Tourist destination around Port Blair was well arrange and everything was with 10KM distance. Ferry Between Island was again very nice experience as we have booked Makruzz Ferry with Upper Deck, where is not only spacious but also, they served snacks during our Journey. Our stay at Havelock is at Virgin Resort, this is hardly 200meter away from Jetty. Virgin Resort do have small but private Beach. It is beautiful to seat on the beach enjoy small wave and look at different shades of Water. Must visit – Radhanager Beach (clean and best Beach for Swimming). We don’t want to come back as we stayed there till Sunset. Must do – Scuba Diving and Underwater Walk. This is amazing experience. Neil Island is very small but very beautiful Island. We have stayed at ‘Tango Resort’ and upgraded our-self to Private Suite, which is at Beach front and large garden in front. This was fun as we were enjoyed Resort facility and Private Beach. We can watch Sunset from outside of our Room and that is really superb view. We did enjoy Glass-boat ride at Bharatpur Beach and experience beautiful corals and different variety of Fish underwater. Our Last night at Port Blair was cheery on top as we have experience Bellay Bay Cruise, this is wonderful, with Food – Nicobar music– DJ – Dance floor and they also serve Drink as you Pay. As our trip was covered with everything mentioned above, we just have to manage our food. We tried traditional Andaman food and enjoyed a lot. But must say, food and Service we get best at Havelock ‘Something Different’ it was costly but worth it and they do provide Pickup-drop facility. This was amazing trip with Personalise touch and one of the memorable one. Sushma, samiran, Ranajeet and Allar (with entire team) all made us special all the time. Andaman is Best with Destiny Holidays!!!And really thakns to Abuzar from TravelTriangle for all the assurance upto the mark.

    • Trip to North East

Short form of the feedback: Starting July 11 thru' 17, '19 we had a memorable tour of NE India (mainly Meghalaya & a bit of Guwahati). We enjoyed every moment of it. Many thanks to Nikita from Reify/Itvaar Travels for putting together the overall package, detailed planning and for her constant support right thru' the tour. Here is a link to the our pictures from the tour: https://flic.kr/s/aHsmFj8TeG (click the 'play' button to view in slide-show mode). Long form of the feedback: It was the worst of times and yet the best of times .. In many ways. Promises and credible relationships were available only at a premium, that which invariably breakdown despite the best of intentions, when working at breakneck speed since the beginning of the year on a high-profile project, that which we were terribly behind and that which we had run out of considerations to not deliver. We were now effectively playing a test match game at T20 speed. Who knew if we would end up at 500 for 1 or would be all out below 100. If one batsman got out in the high-profile chase with time running out, then the next one in line had to pick up the gauntlet and step up his or her game. As Lord Tennyson so eloquently wrote in Charge of the Light Brigade, “Was there a man dismayed? Not though the soldier knew, Someone had blundered. Theirs was not to make reply, Theirs was not to reason why, Theirs but to do and die, Into the Valley of Death …”. It was the worst of times and yet the best of times .. To be associated with our project execution team. Such pressure invariably spills over onto the family which, though understanding, cannot quite fathom the necessity of an all-out war-room 24x7 work environment. After one especially contentious call, my wife asked me if I’m okay. Say I, “Yes, its just that I was practicing the ‘Raga Deepak’. Pretty normal under the circumstances. Logical thinking was at a premium.. But things took for a worse, family wise, when we had to cancel a much-awaited vacation to Iceland, mainly because, well you guessed it, work took precedence. But our vacation window for the year was closing. Our son, who is due to start his Master’s program this coming fall, gave us a 2 week window in July of his availability to join my wife & I on a vacation together. Also wanted to visit his grandma. Rescheduling to Iceland was off the table and we turned our sights to India. The 2 week window brought a clarity of purpose. Workwise, it was finally possible to see the light at the end of the long project tunnel, particularly after a quick dash to our co-developers on-site. That was good. Also, India was a good choice since I could quickly join up with our work team in India. A proposal for a workation (work + vacation) in India was quickly approved. We now turned our attention to picking a vacation spot in India. Not much time to figure that out. A new deadline. So, what’s new? It was the worst of times and yet the best of times .. To plan a vacation. July is monsoon time in India. We considered a few drier spots, the western & northern parts. Vacation spots in Gujarat, Himachal, Punjab were in consideration. But none seemed to gel well enough. And then an idea. Why try to avoid the monsoons at all? Why not pick a spot particularly well known for its monsoon rains: Cherrapunjee? That which has the reputation of the rainiest spot on Earth, or atleast that we hadlearnt during our school history lessons. If we could follow Darwin to the Galapagos, our first and only trek of significance into the Himalayas and the Indus Valley Civilization to Harappa, then following the monsoons into Cherrapunjee while impractical, did sounds just about right. Hey, and don’t’ forget the possibility to douse ‘Deepak Raga’ with ‘Megh Raga’. It was the worst of times and yet the best of times .. To take a monsoon vacation in Cherrapunjee. Cherrapunjee is in North East India. Organizing a vacation in India requires some level of ground support, particularly when coming from the US. Normally, we get ground support from relatives or friends who have provide contacts, or better still do the reservations & bookings on our behalf. But the North East is a different pickle altogether. None of our contacts knew much about the North East. What exactly to see in Cherrapunjee, or thereabouts? Other that its place in school history books, was it a place worth going to? A quick research on the web alleviated our initial concerns. The more we read, the more it seemed that we had stumbled on a hidden gem, just like Pokhara Nepal that we visited a couple of years back. But finding our way around there was still an issue. We normally self-organize our vacation travels. To do this requires enough lead time. In this case, we did not have that luxury. Nor, did we get enough leads from the web on how to self-organize one either. We were now down to Plan C: Contact a few travel agents that we could find on the web. The first one sent back a somewhat vague reply. After waiting in vain on them a few days, we tried the next one. Travel Triangle. Travel Triangle gave an immediate response back, forwarded our request to Nikita from Reify/Itvaar, an agency that specialized in the NE region. Nikita was a game changer. She is truly a responsive travel agent. After a short chat on WhatsApp, Nikita quickly understood our requirements and within a day put together a tour package that was close to what we might have put together ourselves. By this time word had got around that that we were going to the NE. A few close relatives were intrigued enough that they wanted to join us. An initial party of three quickly turned into a potential party of eight or nine. We settled down to a party of seven with one late joinee. Yet could we rely on an unknown agent from an unknown agency that had our contact from yet another unknown forwarding agent? What might be the chances of broken promises. Is Reify/Itvaar another fly-by-night operator? It came down to simply my judgement on how credible Nikita herself was. She was simultaneously responsive and insistent enough to raise our confidence in the agency. It was obvious enough that Reify/Itvaar wanted our business. But it was her responsiveness and sufficiently detailed plan that convinced us Reify/Itvaar was a credible enough agency. Our relatives joining us seemed overall fine with the proposal & pricing. Then after 3/4 modifications, that which Nikita was very quick to help work thru’ on, we finalized on 7day/6night proposal. We now had a day-by-day schedule, a vehicle with driver reserved and hotel bookings over a week or so. The schedule included the towns of Guwahati (in Assam), Shillong, Mawlynnong, Dawki and Cherrapungi (the last four in Meghalaya). We quickly learned about Shillong’s reputation as the Scotland of the East, Mawlynnong’s as the cleanest village in Asia (no kidding!) and Dawki’s as a town bordering Bangladesh. More hidden gems, for sure. It was the worst of times and yet the best of times .. Cherrapunjee was ON, and more. To get in meant a 40+ hour journey from Philadelphia to Doha to Delhi to Guwahati. The last leg of our outbound journey from Guwahati airport to Shillong would in a Tempo Traveler van included as part of the overall package. The Tempo Traveler and its driver, Tapeshwar would be our constants thru’ the tour. This was the first litmus test on the quality of the arrangements by Reify/Itvaar. The van was good sized 12 seater with plenty of space for our bags and in very good condition. Plenty of room for all. We would start our tour from Shillong, with Guwahati the last stop on our way back. One relative joined us at Guwahati airport. The others joined us the next day in Shillong. Given the itinerary, it was mostly a tour of Meghalaya, just a day to visit around Guwahati. Thru’ the week, Tapeshwar was both our driver and guide thru’ the tour. A soft spoken and ever smiling Assamese, knew his way around and ever ready to adjust per our needs. With a good vehicle, Tapeshwar (literally) at the front end and Nikita at the back end, we had an amazingly good support system to take us thru’ the tour. Nikita was ever available thru’ the entire tour to help us as required. We created a WhatsApp group for the tour. The WhatApp group was very useful too, particularly to share pictures with each other. Nikita, though not on the tour, was also in the group. And she was ever attentive to all messages that required her help. With Nikita & Tapeshwar, we had a memorable trip and enjoyed every moment of it. Overall hotel arrangements were very good (except the last one in Guwahati, where both the room bathroom and breakfast arrangements were sub-par). Our one regret is that we do not have a picture of either. We neglected to take one with Tapeshwar (not sure how that happened). We never met Nikita. We can only imagine what she might be like. But both will be in our thoughts, every time we reminiscence about the tour. It was the best of times .. thanks to Nikita & Tapeshwar & Meghalaya. Deepak.

    • Trip to Malaysia

Hi Travel Traingle Team, Thank you very much for the fun and memorable trip that I had in Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur & Langkawi) via Travel Triangle. Everything was very well organized, arranged professionally and worked out well for me. The communications of your team was excellent and very much impressed with the arrangements that they had arranged for me including airline tickets, hotel stay, transportation, tour itinery, visa process etc in such a short period of time.. The WhatsApp team were exceptionally active throughout the trip and gave us an immediate responses on time to time basis. Regarding tour itinery, The tour consultants covered all places as per the itinery and took us into the diversity of Malaysia. I witnessed many different things including forests, national parks, theme parks, islands, city tours, rivers, skyscrapers, beaches, malls, streets, markets, night lifes etc. I will give you the brief details of the places later which I have visited on each day. There was a good amount of activity on each day with not too much down time. Just enough to keep up my journal. The hotel stay in KL was lovely & clean and it’s very close to Chowkit monorail station which really helped me to explore the night life of KL city without spending much expenses on transportation, but not very impressed with the hotel stay in Langkawi. It’s a kind of an above average hotel stay in langkawi and sad part is it’s far away from Langkawi town, but this hotel had a very good scenic beauty with swimming pool facing towards mountains and rivers. Initially you guys promised me the stay in Adya Hotel which I preferred to stay, I followed up many of your team mates, but unfortunately they couldn’t make it. But both accommodations are far exceeded than my expectations, very good breakfast including Indian dishes and very friendly staffs. The good part is both the hotels allows me to do early check-in which really helped me for getting good sleep and aside from the actual trip I got an additional day to explore the city on my own. The best part of the trip was the tours & activities in Langkawi. Absolutely - definitely I will be recommending your tours and I will also be taking another in the future. Thank you so much for well organized & wonderful trip. It’s always a memorable one. Thank you once again. Mohammad Hassan

    • Trip to Himachal

Hi, Myself and my wife were on a trip to Himachal ( shimla- Kulu manali- Dharamsala- Dalhousie) for 8 nights and 9 days. Let me give feed back on everything . We paid huge amount for this trip , but what we got is not as per our expectations. 1) Hotels : Hotels in shimla and dalhousie and dharamsala are far from towns. And in shimla literally it took hell lot of time travelling to hotel and city in the huge traffic we have there. Food in shimla and manali is not as good as we expected. But dharamsala hotel is nice in all aspects except the distance . And I am not sure how the selection of hotels from either Travel Triangle or travel agencies happen. 2) While paying money or on itenary you do not mention any details on hill view from rooms , but later we get normal rooms with no hill view. If we ask we get reply that itne pise me itne hoga. After spending 54k just for package I don't think any customer thinks on spending 3-4 k on hill view rooms. Being in a closed rooms does not make any sense after travelling that much distance. 3) And on the travel, most of the things on itenary need us to walk or go through horses and all for which we need to spend again, u should clearly mention that on the itenary that those cant be reached by car. 4)most of the travel is simply wasted on mornings for travelling between Delhi- Shimla 12 hrs, Shimla-Manali 9-12hrs, Manali- Dharamsala 9hrs, Dharamsala- Dalhousie 4-5 hrs, again Dalhousie-Delhi 11-12 hrs, so I cam see almost 4-5 days are completely wasted on travel. Rather you should come with a good plan of organizing the travels by night and arranging local sight seeing something differently. 5) Again on the local adventure activities I can see the local authorities demand huge money with out any proper rate . Travel agencies should have tie up with some of the adventure activities organization's and provide coupons for us for normal price. We didn't perform any adventure stuff due to the huge price they demand. 6) About Driver: He is very nice, professional, humble, good and experienced on hill side driving. 1) Manali Rohtang pass , ofcourse again need to spend huge money from my pocket as there is no proper plan from travel agencies. 2) Natural beauty of Shimla and Manali .
