One of the best ways to reach Yelagiti is by air. There is no direct flight to Yelagiri, but one can take a flight to Salem Airpor, about 156 km away. The international airports at Chennai and Bengaluru, 216 km and 194 km away, respectively, are the closest to Yealagiri. Both airports serve domestic and international flights.
By Train
There is no direct train to Yelagiri, so you have to take the train to Jolarpettai Junction. You can hire a cab or bus to Yelagiri Hill station from there. Jolarpettai Junction is about 21 km from Yelagiri, and Trains from major cities like Chennai, Bengaluru, and Coimbatore halt at Jolarpettai.
By Road
Yelagiri is well-connected by road with major cities like Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Chennai and Bengaluru. One can travel by bus from these major cities to Jolarpettai, Vellore, Tirupattur or Vaniyampadi, and from these cities, one can board local transport to Yelagiri. If someone wants to witness the picturesque views of the journey, then a car or a motorbike trip would be a good option. The road to Yelagiri Ghat has about 14 hairpin bends, which offer an adventureful journey.
