    The district is served by Coimbatore International Airport (CJB), located in Peelamedu, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The airport offers domestic flights to major Indian cities, such as Chennai, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, and Mumbai. It also connects internationally to countries like the UAE, Sri Lanka, and Singapore. The airport is located 11 km from Coimbatore city centre, and you can take a taxi or book a cab.

    Coimbatore Junction is well connected to the railway network. Construction of railway lines in Coimbatore first started in the late 1800s under colonial rule. You can access Coimbatore via rail from most major Indian cities. Coimbatore North, Podanur, and Mettupalayam are other important train stations within the district. A train journey is always more comfortable than a road trip; therefore, you should book your tickets well in time to ensure no unnecessary hassles.
