Best Time To Visit

Summer

The months of March to May constitute the summer months in Mangalore, when the weather is pretty hot and humid with average temperatures during the day time reaching nearly 40 degrees celsius. The city also experiences a little rainfall during these months, thus making it even more humid. Such weather is sure to hamper sightseeing and beach visits, therefore ensuring that most tourists stay away.

Winter

The winter season in Mangalore reigns from October to February, and are a great time to visit the city. The pleasant weather makes sure that visits to the beach and other tourist hot spots are not cumbersome. You can also enjoy watersports, since the waves are subdued and the water clear. In addition, there are also several festivities being celebrated in the state of Karnataka this time of the year, making it even better for tourists to visit and to plan their Mangalore trip packages during this time.

Monsoon

The rainy season in Mangalore lasts from June to September. The almost torrential rainfalls play havoc with any sightseeing plans that you would have. Also, the humidity levels are at an all time high because of the rainfall, making it a bad prospect to commence any Mangalore tour plan at this time.

Enjoy some rest and relaxation as part of the properly thought out Mangalore trip packages that also offer a couple of leisure days so that you can actually get to explore the city on your own. Spending a few days relishing the local dishes here, shopping at the street stalls and rubbing shoulders with the locals is sure to make you want to come back to this city again and again.

We planned a Trip to Coorg, Mangalore and Udupi. Post card trip advisor - Simran guided us appropriately and was available on whatsapp to assist us whenever in need. Happy with the tour co-ordinator Simran. Thanks Simran Cab provided was excellent and comfortable. Cab driver Ravi guided us appropriately and was very co-operative. Thanks Ravi for great travel throughout the vacation. Hotel in Coorg (Whispering Woods) - Good facility and clean rooms amidst greenery. Breakfast in Hotel - Not that great - Ambience was sad, didnt feel like having breakfast in Hotel. Hotel in Mangalore (Sai Navratna Palace) - Great facility, clean rooms and Yummy breakfast options. All was great for this Hotel. Hotel in Udupi ( Aaryan Resort ) - Not at all good. They provided an apartment which was in a separate building. They had insects in rooms, showers were not working, cleanliness was not maintained. Breakfast serving plates were old and yellow stained - looked like all was compromised here. Felt very sad about Aaryan Resort Udupi.

Madhukar's 7 days trip to Karnataka

The trip was arranged nicely . The hotels were good except Camp 21. They were not ready to receive guests even at 2030 hrs. The provisions in the room were not sufficient . We have to ask for their help for small things. The itinerary needs a relook as we were on the beaches at afternoon in Gokarna and also on the way to Mangalore. In Mangalore we did not see any beach e.g.the confluence of river and the sea. These are small irritants. Otherwise the trip went very well. The stay at Hill View home stay was excellent .Hats off to Aishwarya for her co-operation and the arrangements. We did not have any problem at hotels. The cab service was smooth and comfortable . The driver Keshava was soft and helpful. Dealings with Aishwarya on phone were nice and reassuring.

Overall experience was good but I would recommend few things. First thing our flight was early in the morning so we thought of having breakfast in flight but they are not accepting INR, we had AED but they didn't have change so we managed with some cookies which we carried. We got on time pick up from the airport. On reaching the hotel we need to wait for the check in for more than an hour. It would be good if the travel agent informed this and planned for nearby shopping. Hotel location was good and rooms were spacious. The visits were not according to the itenary but they tried to cover all the places. Need to provide a proper information if there is change in itenary. The Dubai city was short and we didn't get a chance to visit the Gold souk. The return flight is too long as it was through Mangalore, since we are group of 6 with 4 senior citizens they should have suggested and provided direct flight. Tickets for dolphins show and Burj Khalifa At the Top was given before 3 days of starting the trip, so we took the print outs. It would good if they provide the tickets for the other attractions in similar way, but underwear world and the Miracle Garden tickets were given after insisted... Most of the driver's were friendly and helpful. Miracle Garden, Global Village, Desert Safari, Cruise, At the Top of Burj khalifa and underwater world was good memories.

Cab driver wasn't paid in advance of the trip because my last payment was due on the first day of the trip.Didnt know the logic.Even after I got into the cab ,the driver still finds difficulty economically for fuel charges which inturned was tough for we as traveller. The accommodation at Mangalore(Hotel Karuna Residency) was awesome ,their Ambiance was lovable.Even though I lost an item after checking out from that place & reaching back home, their response made me happy when asked for the same.
