The doors of the gates with high pointed arches are specifically reinforced to fend off elephants and cannon shots.

Yuga's 5 days trip to Rajasthan

We had booked our Rajasthan trip - Jaipur, Ranthambore, chittorgarh and Udaipur through Kingsland Holidays and Rohit was our travel manager. He addressed all our queries and gave us the best suggestions, was very quick to respond. We faced a little problem in terms of knowing the road connectivity in Udaipur which was sorted by providing us with a travel guide who helped us cover all the locations with ease. Overall it was a great experience. Hotel that we chose were Jaipur- welcome traditional haveli Ranthambore - Jungle retreat Udaipur- castle inn Chittorgarh - Rajasi palace which u can avoid at all costs, pathetic hotel. Instead you can choose to stay in Bhilwara.

Locations covered and itinerary - Good (3/5) (could have been better if the entire time could have been well utilized) Jaipur - Missed out on Jaigarh & Nahargarh fort, En route Chittorgarh - during day time could have been planned better. Ajmer/Pushkar could have been a better option Udaipur - Not many locations left for the last day Hotel - Good (3.5/5) Beacon Hotels - Overall stay was good, food service could have been better Indra Niwas - Overall stay was good, breakfast for the day1 was not good Cab & driver - Good (4/5) The cab was clean and the driver was very kind, polite Thank you Vicky Mann for the memorable journey Suggestion - Food hotel stop suggestions could have been better (the hotel en route Jaipur to Chittorgarh was pathetic) Value for money - 4/5 Will definitely recommend Traveolla - Thanks to Ashima for making the trip memorable. [TRUST 100% - Could we believe the entire trip was planned and executed without a single phone call, all over chats] P.S - The package pricing can be made more attractive if it was gauged down by 4K

Travel agency didn't guide us to see the right places like kumbalgarh, haldighatti, chittorgarh and though they could have been covered with slight adjustment to schedule n by removing places like saheliyon ki Bari, mandaur garden etc.. The sequence of seeing should have been udaipur first and Jaipur last but we ended up Seeing in the reverse order.. Also no tips on what to buy at which city. These small tips from travel agencies will be useful. Cab owner charged a bomb for a 30.kms detour to see kumbalgarh.. He gave excuses but we validated from Google maps n saw his bluff but ended up paying 1000 rs for a 30.kms detour... This was unethical on the van owner.. Hotels selection and cab driver. Above all seeing the historic places we read in our history books..

The agent has told us that whatever the places you will tell, the driver will take you to those places.... because the agent didn't mention in the itinerary ..but the driver didn't take us to the places... the driver was horrible...from first day itself he has given the silly excuses...like the car can't go on that road...I mean come on other drivers can take their cars...but your car can't go.. horrible... literally I have to beg him for the sightseeings...NOT REQUSET ..BEGGING...I REPEAT BEGGING... Another excuse he was giving that there is nothing to see nothing to explore...comeon....I have paid for the trip..I don't need your damn suggestions...we ll give the the order and you have to obey... In Jaipur he didn't show nahargarh fort, Akshardham temple In Jodhpur he didn't show Ranisar lake, blue city, ghanta ghar, stepwells, pachetia hill...in Jaisalmer he didn't show vyas chatri In Udaipur he didn't show sajjangarh fort and palace, karni mata temple... In Jaipur he told that in Hawamahal there is nothing to see ..I mean are we mad...if you come to India ...you will visit Tajmahal or not...for Hawamahal we have literally begged him.... He has all the dealings with the guide ,local Shops and the hotels ..he was talking to those shops where he will get the commission... whenever I tell him to take some roadside dhabas he was not taking...instaed of that he was taking to some hotels where a normal chapati costs me 40/-...sir we are not AMBANIS... Without taking our prior permission he was coming with guides......he was forcing us to take the guides...and the guides were horrible...for an one hour service they were charging 500/-...one guide has promised us to show the sites for 2hr in Chittorgarh..but he finished within 40mins and demanded 500/-...for chittorgarh one day is also not enough...but he finished within 40 mins... ...the agent was helpful but according to the driver the agent should mention all the sites in the itinerary... otherwise I have to pay him extra....I am totally dissatisfied with trip because of the driver.... The hotels

Deepali's 4 days trip to Rajasthan

I would overall rate this Jaipur trip as 6/10. We really enjoyed our trip by visiting multiple places in rajasthan. The cab was also very convenient. The hotel stay which we got in Udaipur (Mukund Villas) & Chittorgarh (roop shree) were extremely good. We really got a very good service from their staff and felt like home. The only complaint we had was with Hotel Park Classic, in Jaipur. The service was worst, check-in almost took 30min, already used tea/coffee mugs were lying in the lobby besides our room, we were entirely disturbed by many people who were staying there in that hotel for some marriage function. They were playing dhols and everything inside the hotel rooms and lobby. Tried complaining many a times but the staff didn't care much.

We had a memorable trip as per our desire. The forts of Chittorgarh, Kumbhalgarh, City Palace, Jagmandir are awesome Hotel Sajjan Vilas is quite pretty and quaint and is well located The music at roof top terrace bar at Sajjan Vilas is too loud and is played till quite late in the night, becoming bothersome Hotel Bhairavgarh is quite impressive. Highlight of the trip was the excellent hospitality proffered at Hotel Hillock Mount Abu. Lovely hotel and extremely helpful and courteous personnel. Mount Abu is very beautiful We enjoyed the folk dance at Bhairavgarh Palace

Travel in Chittorgarh also brings before the visitors a number of other structures within the main Chittor fort like The Victory Tower, the symbol of Chittor; Kirti Stambh, adorned with Jain sculptures; Rani Kumbha’s Palace, which is the oldest among all these; Padmini’s Palace, a three storey white building structure etc.

Besides the Chittorgarh fort, Chittorgarh tourism also has various other famous places to visit. Some of the most famous are Kalika Mata temple; Tulja Bhavani temple; Fateh Prakash Palace which is a huge palace of modern style; 6 beautiful and magnificent Jain temples; Gaumukh Reservoir, A deep tank filled by a spring coming from a 'cow mouth’.

Chittorgarh tour packages also cover other famous places to visit other than temples and monuments. It is highly recommended for the visitors to plan their travel in Chittorgarh during the time of the famous Jauhar Mela. The festival is held anually on the anniversary of one of the Jauhars, usually between February to MArch. This festival is held primarily to recall the bravery of Rajput ancestors and all three jauhars which happened at Chittorgarh Fort. A huge number of Rajputs, which include the descendants of most of the princely families, hold a procession to celebrate the Jauhar every year. The overall ambience and hustle bustle of the whole city on this festival is what makes the festival worth everything.

So, for those tourists thinking that Chittorgarh only has its main fort to visit, they are completely living in a misconception. Plan a visit to the place by booking one of these amazing Chittorgarh tour packages and pay a visit and tribute to one of the most important historical cities of India and also witness the pride and prosperity of the rowdy Rajputs.
