The commercial capital of India – Mumbai is the most well-connected city of India after Delhi. Going from Mumbai to Hanoi is a piece of cake, but only if air travel is availed. The car route is long and tiring and direct bus or train routes do not exist. Here’s how to reach Hanoi from Mumbai via different routes.
By Air: The fastest Mumbai to Hanoi flights are flown by Jet Airways and Thai Airways, which take 8 hours 20 minutes and 8 hours 45 minutes respectively. Both of them have layovers at Bangkok. But they are also the best Mumbai to Hanoi cheap flights. These are the best routes to get to Hanoi from Mumbai, and for the very reason, the flights get booked out very fast. However, there are others with longer Mumbai to Hanoi flight duration, operated by airlines like Bangkok Airways, Vietnam Airways and Singapore Airlines.
By Road: Mumbai to Hanoi distance by road is more than 6000 km, and takes at least 115 hours to travel. Add to that rest time and security checks, and the whole journey duration becomes an uncomfortably long one stretched over 5 days. Compared to flights from Mumbai to Hanoi Vietnam, the roadway, though possible, is not the most convenient one to go with.
By Rail: There are no railway networks from Mumbai or any other Indian city to Hanoi for obvious reasons. But if one has to avail trains to Hanoi, they have to fly to China’s capital Beijing or Nanning, from where there are direct trains to Gia Lam Station in Hanoi.

Trip to VietnamWe had no problems during entire trip. Agent Eric was excellent and very helpful. He was very prompt and planned everything in advance. Halong Bay, Vespa ride, bicycle ride, kayaking, Hanoi tour, and Angkor wat.
Trip to Vietnamit was great experience. special thanks to Tuan (Eric) for handling it very well
Trip to VietnamThe trip had a rough start as my mother, who is a strict vegetarian, was feeling nauseated all the time due to smell of pork and fish. We had to let her stay in the hotel for entire day so that she feels better. We ordered Indian food in the hotel itself. We made slight modifications in our trip to accommodate this and Anna had been super helpful in letting us do it without any hesitations. The hotels were average and could have been better. Also it would have been nice if a tour guide would have accompanied us in Hanoi to tell us about its history and architecture. At other places we really enjoyed with tour guides who explained about the place and educated us about significance of temples. We also had a rough time before the travel as the names of two travellers were spelled wrongly in ticket and visa, which led to confusion till the day we started our trip. Hotels were also changed in the last moment leading to anxiety. Although Anna compensated with other benefits but the overall experience could have been much better. Something to improve. We enjoyed the foot spa and last Indian dinner that Anna arranged for us. 8 cave ride in a boat - it was really thrilling to be inside the caves and one of great experiences. Angkor Wat temple - we watched Tomb Raider immediately upon our return. It was a magnificent architecture.
Trip to VietnamAs per the itinerary the day we land we were to checkin to the hotel and start with the city tour after two hours rest and take the night train to Sapa. The guide told me that we don't have a hotel booking and we would straight head for the city tour directly from the Airport. when i insisted that we have the hotel booking then he spoke to the travel agent and hotel booking was done . Although the hotel was different , but the agent came to the hotel to apologize for the confusion. Other than this there was no issue about the entire trip. it was nicely planned and executed too. The guides were all english speaking and very co operative. Just a small suggestion , the travelers should be informed about the duration of the tour well in advance. Like the walking tour to village in Sapa was for about 4 hours in the hilly area and the next day tour to another village tour was for about one hour. The Halong bay trip was just great. Thankyou for all your effort. There is no option for Indian food in Vietnam, Vegetarians could have a big problem. Those who love sea food , this place is heaven. The prices are very reasonable too.
