About Sydney Harbour Bridge in Sydney
Sydney Harbour Bridge has remained a major tourist attraction in the city of Sydney for over a century now. It is an arch steel bridge across the Sydney Harbour that was built in 1932. It was built under the direction of Dr. John Bradfield and designed by the British firm Dorman Long and Co. Ltd. The Sydney Harbour Bridge is nicknamed the “Coat Hanger” due to its arch design. The bridge has original traffic lanes running across it and a bicycle track in the western side. It also has an additional two lanes of track that was used by trams eastern side and two railway tracks between the main roadway and bicycle path.
