By Air: Pakyong Airport is the only airport in Sikkim, thus making it the only airbase in the state. It is situated approximately 27 km away from Gangtok. The airport is a domestic airport and is one of the five highest airports in India. Many major airlines operate daily flights from various cities in India.
By Road: The state of Sikkim is well-connected by road. One can opt to travel to the state via state transport buses and private vehicles. One can also opt to reach Sikkim at the comfort of one’s own vehicle by a road trip. Some of the hotspots of road junctions in Sikkim are Gangtok, Pelling, Namchi, Jorethang, etc.
By Rail: At the moment, there is no functional railway station in Sikkim. However, in order to reach the state via railways, one can opt to travel till some of the nearest railheads. The nearest railway junctions from Sikkim are New Jalpaiguri Junction and Siliguri Railway Junction.
