Monkey Point In Kasauli

Monkey Point in Kasauli is one of the most popular attractions there. It is also the highest point in Kasauli, and is located at a distance of a mere 4 kms from the main bus stand of Kasauli. Situated in the Air Force Station, near the Lower Mall area, Monkey Point offers beautiful views of the valley and the Sutlej River.

There is also a temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman here. A lot of devotees flock to this place during special fairs and festivals, from all over the state. It will take no more than an hour to explore the place, but you can opt to spend longer here if you want to rest and relax and simply enjoy the views surrounding you from all sides.

According to local legend, Lord Hanuman’s foot touched this place when he was going to get the magical herb to revive Lakshmana. Befittingly, there are several monkeys here who loiter around to get fed by the tourists. The views from the top of Monkey Point in Kasauli are a treat for the eyes, as is the lush greenery all around. Make sure that visiting this place is part of your itinerary when in Kasauli.
