About Timber Trail In Kasauli

The Timber Trail in Kasauli is one of the most popular attractions among tourists who visit Kasauli. It is a beautiful and serene location, located a little out of the bounds of the main town center, but not far enough away to be inaccessible. The perfect place to get away from the hustle bustle of the main town, the Timber Trail in Kasauli offer breathtaking views of deep gorges and towering rock faces. The distance from Timber Trail to Kasauli via road is about 24 kilometres. 

Timber Trail cable car ride is about 10 minutes long and it allows visitors breathtaking views of the surrounding hills. The main attraction here is this ropeway ride, which takes tourists from one side of the gorge to the other. Being suspended in mid-air, on a seemingly flimsy cable, gives you a feeling of being no less adventurous that those going skydiving. The timings of Timber Trail cable car is from 9 am to 5 pm all days of the week. The ropeway covers a distance of 1.8 kms, and takes you across some of the most beautiful valleys and mountains on the way to the other side.

The snow-topped mountains seem close enough to touch, enough as the pine trees almost brush the sides of your cable car, making this a must-do activity in Kasauli. You can see the entire town of Kasauli spread beneath your feet as you make the journey.

Few issues faced which kind of made the experience average at the end. 1) Had issue with check out from the second hotel where they informed me that payment was not made. I had to coordinate with the travels at 6 AM to get this resolved (luckily one of the representa
    tives picked up the call. The main contact did not pick up the call). This was not a pleasant experience as we were trying to check out fast to make sure we are able to reach airport on time for our flight. 2) Cab driver was great in general but was really hesitant to switch on AC and even switched on, he was keeping it at very low speed which did not help at all.
