About Lolab Valley in Pahalgam

Located in the north-western part of Kashmir, Lolab Valley is a Himalayan sub-valley that is also one of the best hidden gems in Kashmir. Lahwal River that flows from east to west gives this place an even better appeal that is similar to a beautiful scenery. The landscape of the Lolab Valley all surrounded by snow-capped mountains, misty valleys, and lush green meadows makes it a photogenic destination.
Lolab Valley in Kashmir is famous for its enthralling treks, rivers, waterfalls and meadows. Caves of Kalaroos, Chandigam, Satbern, and Khumriyal are some of the most famous places to visit here. Chandigam is very pleasing place to visit which is all covered by lush green pine and deodar trees along with rugged mountain ranges. The whole natural setting of the place gives it a very photogenic appeal and captures the attention of the traveler. A three feet deep spring is found near the Lolab Valley called Lavnag and another beautiful spring is Gauri Spring. Both these springs have been well preserved by the Government of Kashmir.
Lolab Valley is best visited in the months of April to June when there is optimum temperature suitable for all sorts of adventure and activities. Lolab Valley in winters looks heavenly beautiful when it is all covered with snow. The whole landscape looks surreal under the white sheet of snow. So, if you are someone who wants to feel the beauty of snowfall, then visit it during the winter season is from December to February. Two other pristine valleys near Lolab Valley are Neelum Valley and Kashmir Valley which are tranquil, serene and enchanting. Kupwara in Lolab Valley is famous for its exotic wildlife and will give you a sense of freshness and serenity. Another marvel here is the Krusan which is known for the shrine of Syed Bengal Sahib and is adorned with tranquil valleys.
