Kovalam being a fairly small village, even the far-off beaches like Samudra beach are still easy to access. The nearest airport and railway station are both in Thiruvananthapuram. The bus is always available as a cheaper option for those coming from the city. As Samudra beach is a little away from the main area of Kovalam, that means it’s that much closer to Thiruvananthapuram with both the airport and railway station being roughly 10-11 kms away. Auto rickshaws and cabs are also available both from Thiruvananthapuram as well as the other beaches in Kovalam. Scooters on rent are always an option. The ambitious can try walking here but it’s not accessible from the other beaches, so it would mean that they have to walk the inland roads. Regardless of how one gets there, Samudra beach is sure to be a delightful experience once reached.
