History of Van Vihar

Offering a chance to witness rare species like Whiter Tiger, Chital, Black Buck, Sambhar, Nilgai, Porcupine, Wild-boar, etc. along with 60 species of butterfly, and 200 species of birds, this national park is reserved for the enhancement of the wildlife and biodiversity. Activities like poaching, hunting, forestry, and grazing on cultivation are not permitted in Van Vihar National Park in Bhopal. An important gateway to Bhopal, this wildlife sanctuary is also known as a Safari Park.
