About Thean Hou Temple In Kuala Lumpur
Seated on the top of Robson Heights mountain, Thean Hou Temple is a beautifully decorated Chinese temple which is dedicated to the Heavenly Queen of the same name - Thean Hou. The temple was inaugurated in the year 1989 by the Selangor and Federal Territory Hainan Association. The temple not only offers stunning views of Kuala Lumpur from the hilltop but also serves as a house of worship. Some area is also dedicated to host functions and events inside the premises of the temple. The Thean Hou temple in Kuala Lumpur is certainly the best place to visit during your Malaysia tour. Also, if you wish to enjoy the best of the Thean Hou temple, you may plan to visit here during the Chinese new year festival and similar major occasions.
Although the temple is dedicated to the Heavenly Queen, Thean Hou temple history shows that it was also believed to protect the fishermen residing in the city. The temple represents the vivid culture of Malaysia as well as the Chinese culture. Every year, a number of tourists come here to witness the unmatched beauty of the temple. As the temple overlooks Jalan Syed Putra, you can enjoy some superb views from the hill atop.
One of the best things to do in Thean Hou temple is to climb to the temple's upper decks and get an even closer view of the mosaic dragons and phoenixes that have long added to the beauty of the eaves.
