About Anse La Raie in Mauritius

Anse La Raie can hardly be called a beach, but once you reach the destination near the village of Calodyne, in the north of Mauritius, you will be mystified by its tranquil beauty.

The charm of Anse La Raie lies in its calm and serene ambiance. Anse La Raie, Mauritius, located in the Riviere du Rempart district, enjoys a stunning view of the crystal blue Indian Ocean and has clear shallow water near the shore. That means the Anse La Raie beach is absolutely perfect for a swimming session in the sea without a lot of disturbances or interference by the crowd.

While this beach does not look like the background of a postcard, one thing is sure – you and your family or partner will surely have the best time in Anse La Raie. You can go swimming or indulge in snorkeling and sea diving. There are standard facilities here, like every other public beach, including some beach huts, restrooms and a forest behind for picnic and hiking.

The beach might seem a bit dirty initially, but as you keep hiking towards the east along the coast, cross some rocks and hike some 100-150 meters more, you will end up in a much better and even more peaceful location, with warmer, whiter sand and bluer water.

Darshan's 5 days trip to Mauritius

The sharing van to travel around was small and cramped up. A mini bus would be preferred if we have to constantly board in it. Also, do not pick up from the other resort just to fill up the seats. It takes additional time to reach 1 destination.

Prathmeshshirsat's 6 days trip to Mauritius

Our recent Mauritius trip was an unforgettable experience, and we’re truly glad we booked it through TravelTriangle and Aga Holiday. We stayed at Tropical Attitude Hotel, which was exceptionally clean, neat, and had a breathtaking sea view that made every morning feel refreshing and peaceful. The hospitality at the hotel was top-notch. Karen, the hotel representative, greeted us with a warm smile and was always available to help with anything we needed. A big shoutout to Patricia, the room attendant, who went above and beyond with room service—she was incredibly polite and made our stay extra comfortable. Dining at Bor Lamer and Taba-J was equally delightful. The food was delicious every single time. Special thanks to Chef Vikash and Sunil, the restaurant server, who ensured that not just the taste but the whole dining experience was perfect. They genuinely cared about our satisfaction and service. The highlight of our trip was the romantic dinner organized by the hotel. It was a magical experience that we’ll always cherish. Highly recommend this hotel and TravelTriangle for a peaceful and memorable Mauritius holiday!

Anmol's 5 days trip to Mauritius

This was our first vacation as a couple, and TravelTriangle made it memorable for us. With zero hassles, it made every step of the tour seamless. Great property and tours agent connect. It was really special for both of us. Intercontinental is a recommend from our side for any couple who is going to Mauritius (North-West coast). The country is great place to just relax and experience the true beach side calm and peace. This resort has a lagoon which gives the right opportunity for the visitors to explore the scenic beauty of the coast.
