Hawa Mahal

It is a magnificent palace that is located at the junction of the main road in Jaipur, Badi Chaupar. Hawa Mahal was ordered to be built by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh in the year 1799. The name Hawa Mahal itself is taken from the extraordinary structure which in itself is a mesh of small windows through which the cool breeze passed through the entire palace. It was constructed in this way to keep the entire palace cool during the hot summer months. Although it is stated as an important reason behind the peculiarity of its structure, however the actual reason is that the palace was constructed in this way to allow the ladies of the royal house to witness the festival celebrations on the streets meanwhile not being seen by outsiders. Hawa Mahal is entirely constructed out of red and pink sandstone in the form of a pyramid which is redolent on the shape of a crown. It features 953 tiny, decorated windows, popularly known as ‘jharokhas’. There are five floors in total inside the Mahal which has a unique chamber each. At its entrance, you will find a gorgeous fountain which welcomes you to the inside of the Hawa Mahal and let you capture stunning views of the City Palace, Jantar Mantar and Siredeori Bazar.

Rajasthan !! Finally Jaipur vist completed.It was nice tour planned by Ganesham Tour n travels .Most of things were pretty good.Thanks to our driver Gaurav who made our rides secured and comfortable.Sone issues were there with hotel selection but overall a pleasant stay . mesmerizing memories and missing it. Hawa Mahal which we thought is not worth going but at last we just catch ourselves by Hawa Mahal only.Actually at first we avoided it as we passed through many times before actually visiting it.

Everything was really very nice. the hotel and the cab i will give 5/5 but there is 1 thing i want to mention that the agent should provide all the information to the traveller should not hide anything for example vital holiday agent didn't inform us about the availablity of swimming or bar in the hotel on the last day when we were checking out from our hotel , the hotel staff informed us about that and also mentioned that use of swimming pool is free for everyone.

It was my 2nd trip with travel triangle and was not that much upto the mark as the earlier one. The problem we had is as follows :- 1) Although the hotel in Jaipur was really very nice but the location wise it wasn't , it was like 20 km away from the city. 2) In Ranthambore , we have to pay for the safari on our own , where else in Jim Corbett when we went , it was included in the plan. 3) The agent don't know how to talk, he was very rude , also for the cab wise i specially asked for the Innova but he provided me Etios , later after immense argument he agreed to provide the Innova. The good points were like 1 ) hotel was really very nice 2) the drive was experienced and was having a good behaviour.
