About Lake Foy Sagar in Ajmer

Built as a part of popular Famine Relief Project by a British architect named- Mr. Foy in the year 1892, Lake Foy Sagar in Ajmer is a man-made lake nestled in the proximity to Ajmer, Rajasthan. Offering a breathtaking 360-degree angle view of the adjacent Aravalli Hills, this artificial lake is no less than a natural wonder. Located at a distance of just about 7km from Ajmer Railway Station and 6 km from Ajmer Dargah Sharif, this enticing attraction also has a beautiful garden nearby, where you can enjoy a small sojourn while capturing some really amazing landscape views.

History of  Foy Sagar Lake 

Blessed with scenic landscape, the artificial Foy Sagar Lake, Ajmer was built with an aim to remove the problem of shortage of water that occurred in Ajmer during drought. Named after Mr. Foy, this lake was structured when he came with an idea to create an artificial lake in order to tackle the severe conditions of famine. Since then, this pictorial attraction has become a vital source of water in the region.

We booked a 6 days and 5 nights trip to Rajasthan from MY OWN JOURNEY Except on day 1 , Hotels provided are good enough room size are big However for rest of the days there was no confirmation from travel agent which hotel to stay. Note: we booked the package almost 3 months prior to trip. Still on travel day there was no assurance where we will be staying. TRAVEL AGENT SHOULD HAVE PROVIDE CONFIRMATION IN ADVANCE Otherwise hotel stay was good. Vehicle / driver - vehicle we hot is clean and in very good condition. However I felt the driver little bit arrogant In one instance, he refused to dropped us at restaurants for dinner and we have few seniors citizens with us moreover the restaurant was hardly within 1km range So that thing I didn't like. Overall the trip went well Thanks My Own Journey team.
