Colombo International Airport (CMB) is the main point of entry for international travelers in Sri Lanka. The availability of domestic flights in Sri Lanka is limited as most of the cities are quite near to each other. Direct flights from Indian cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, and Chennai are available by Air India, Jet Airways, and SriLankan Airlines. India to Sri Lanka flight duration may vary from 90 minutes to 3 hours 30 minutes depending on the airport.
However, some of the prime flight zones are from Ampara, Bentota river, Colombo, Hatton, Jaffna, Kandy, Anuradhapura, Katugastota, Kelaniya, Koggala, Mahaweli, Weerala, Sigiriya, Trincomalee etc. The airlines that religiously serve Sri Lanka are like Jet Airways, Singapore airlines, Turkish Airlines, Spice jet airlines etc.
Once you scout you will get the detail travel time of the buses that majorly includes routes like Negombo, Galle, while there is a direct bus route from the Colombo to Kandy. For every hour the buses travel for forty to fifty kilometers. However, the speed lifts up as the drivers are set to wheel on the plane lands to 60 to 70 kilometers. But again the speed slows down to 20 km in the hilly areas.
In Sri Lanka, Sri Lanka Railways runs throughout the island. A train ride is more relaxing as compared to other rides. In fact, the first class train ticket in Sri Lanka does not go beyond $15.35. In Sri Lanka, there are three rail lines, including South from Colombo, East from Colombo, and North from Colombo. One can book regular class or an AC class depending upon the distance of your location and hours of travel.

Trip to Sri LankaWonderful Trip. Tropical Ceylon, Mr. Gayan assisted throught our trip.. Great...
Trip to Sri LankaWe have been to srilanka for 5 days (may 3rd to 7th) and the trip was awsome and excellent. Shanil and Janaka were very friendly and took care of us. Over all trip to srilanka was very safe and incrideble. Must visist country atleast once in life time. I recommend my friends and family to visist srilanka of course through Travco.
Trip to Sri LankaVisited Sri Lanka with Travco adventures through Travel Triangle. Was a bit apprehensive about the sensitive situation in Colombo. But Mr. Shanil from Travco rest assured me of our safety. He did good arrangements for us. The vehicle and the driver were very good. The hotels provided were good except for The Grand Concord, Colombo. The executive from Travel triangle was calling multiple times till the booking was done. But sorry to say, once they received their payment, nobody bothered to answer our calls or queries. Had read about previous reviews of travel triangle on the net and I share the same views. Once they get their payment.. They don't wish to know you. Wonderful Sri Lanka. Nuwara Elliya was breathtakingly beautiful. The beach at Bentota was fabulous. The staff of all the hotels were very cordial and welcoming.
Trip to Sri LankaService of agent is really above the mark and helpful to each and every person in our 42 member group. TT as mediator is not helpful or even concerned about it's customer. While it's clearly written and double clarified about no cancellation before 28 days of tour, it's cost me 160$ for 2 people out of 44 people. Water rafting at Kithulgala Water Sports at Bentota and Belly's Casino in Colombo .
Trip to Sri LankaVery good organisation by the travel agent of Boom Lanka. Very nice and polite and helpful and attending to our wishes and needs. Just one day the schedule was not able to do because it was too full and we couldnt do all things that were mentioned. But we figured that by looking at the plan and canceled some unnecessary points, like a long hike. All in all it was very good, sometime you have too look in the internet weather "vising" means a hike or you just drive there and see it easily. But that is maybe also owed to the culteral discrepance and understanding.
Trip to Sri LankaEverything that arranged by Travel Triangle was up to the mark. The chauffeur was really nice and friendly and was there for us through the entire journey and also the agent ( Stuti) was also really supportive and helpful and made everything real easy for us. Had a great experience!
Trip to Sri LankaExcellent choice of hotels and destination. Excellent travel coordination. The hotels given for Kandy and Benthota were really nice.
Trip to Sri LankaEverything was excellent except our stay in Magampura Eco Village. Due to the blasts and curfew we were the only guests there. Service was pathetic and room AC was not cooling. Overall a very memorable trip
Trip to Sri LankaHad a wonderful time in Srilanka. Thanks to Chathura for planning our itinerary . Apart from Oak ray tea Bush hotel, rest was superb. Special mention to our Chauffeur Mr Nandana, he took care of us very well. Highly recommended these guys . My trip started with tragic bomb blasts in colombo for which our prayers are with people of Srilanka. At this tough time it was ensured from the tropical ceylon team and especially our chauffeur Mr Nandana that we are safe , coordinating with authorities and ensuring we donot enter or go towards affected areas. People of Srilanka are very friendly and always ensure that they help to their best of abilities.
Trip to Sri LankaThe constant and prompt personal interactions of Ms Stuti Gupta of Travel Triangle was outstandingly very hepful. Will highly recommend you as well as utilise your services again
