How To Reach Kotagiri

The distance of 30 kilometres from Kotagiri to Ooty can be covered in 1 hour via road. The 20-km road through Nilgiri Hills from Coonoor to Kotagiri is equally rewarding with views of Catherine Waterfalls. There are several tea estates along the road from Ooty to Kotagiri. Regular buses and ready-for-rent taxis are available to visit Kotagiri from Ooty and Coonoor.

Buses are available to travel from Bangalore to Kotagiri (302 km) and Chennai to Kotagiri (537 km). While coming from Coimbatore, one can also take the toy train from Mettupalayam to Ooty and then take a taxi from Ooty to reach Kotagiri. The nearest airport from Kotagiri is Coimbatore International Airport (CJB) which is about 66 km away.

Hotel Exp: Hotel exp was decent,food was good ,could do better in keeping some more options of North Indian food Had a payment issue at Hotel Adrak at Trivandrum where the payment was not marked as paid by the hotel agency we have to wait for checkout because of that,took a lot of time to resolve

it. We could have missed the sighting of the last day due to the payment issue. Cab Exp: The driver was cooperative and helped in sight seeing for the first 3 days. He started showing tantrums for the sightseeing of Trivandrum and was not ready to cover the places in our itinerary. There was a lot of miscommunication between Back2Holidays and the driver regarding the payment and itinerary discussion. When we called the agent to clarify he was not happy and we had a lot of arguments with him. Agency Exp: I would like to thank Nikita from Back2Holidays for helping us cover all the places in our itinerary. She was following up with us throughout our trip. Everything was planned according to our needs, hotels were nearby the sightseeing places. We had issues with driver and at one of the hotels,we reached out to her and she made sure our trip went according to our plan coordinated with the driver and at hotel and overall our trip was a memorable one. There can be improvements done to avoid miscommunication between the agency,driver and hotels.It creates a lot of stressful situations for the guests. Our last 2 days were a bit stressful due to that.
