Catherine Falls, also referred to as St. Catherine Water Falls in Tamil Nadu, is a major attraction in Coonoor, for locals as well as for tourists. The River Kallar of Tamil Nadu descends as the Geddhehaada Halla stream, and forms the Catherine Falls. Catherine water falls is a double-cascaded waterfall, wherein there are two floors of the falls. The upper floor of the waterfall drops to the ground. Catherine Falls near Kotagiri is the second highest waterfall in the Nilgiri Mountains. It is also one of the best places to relax for an evening, with friends and family.
