t our trip skipping sigriya , dambulla and bentotta and keeping 2 days at one destination so that we don’t have to hop from one hotel to another every single day. We covered colombo, kandy, nurwa elliya and ella in 8 days. But the room provided to us were not what we paid for. Both in kandy and nurwa eliyya on first day there was no view/ balcony and we were forced to adjust on day one and were provided the promised room on day 2. UpOn confirming with the hotel reception we were told that the travel agent was told about the unavailability of the room on the provided dates. He played smart, keeping us in dark and had the audacity to threaten us to cancel the trip in nurwa eliya upon complaining when it happened for the second time in nurwa eliyya. So technically we cut short 3 destinations, paid more than the initial quotation and switched rooms every single day for 8 days pretty much adding to the discomfort. Secondly, considering my wife’s pregnancy in mind we preponed the trip by one day without any change in the itinerary thereby adding extra day in colombo to rest and readily paid extra for one day accommodation plus airport transport( that was covered in trip). Travel agent said his service is from airport to airport so if we are coming one day before we’ve to pay extra for airport to colombo transfer. We paid without arguing but we strongly feel this could have been avoided. Thirdly, travel agent always increased the price by 10-15 usd saying the economic conditions in srilanka isn’t good which is clearly unprofessional. Moreover he provided the wrong booking name in all four hotels adding to the confusion.

ny doubts i had. I was travelling with my parents (60+ yo) and an infant (3yo) and hence i specially asked Dhanuka to provide me with a very caring driver. He totally did his 100% in this matter. We were allotted a Tourist board approved Chauffeur Mr. Ahamad who is GEM of a person! We felt very safe with him all through the tour and he went out of his way to help us all through the trip especially in getting good deals at sightseeing/activities and finding decent indian restaurants for lunch and dinner. He also very punctual and made sure we covered the entire itinerary and a few extra sightseeing places too! We visited Colombo, Pinnawala, Sigiriya, Trincomalee, Dambulla, Kandy, Kitugala Nuwara Eliya, Ella, Galle, Bentota. The White water rafting at Kitugala, water sports at Bentota, Zipline at Ella were highlights of the tour. Mr Dhanuka booked very good hotels offering breath taking views from the hotel rooms/windows and a very tasty breakfast in a decent budget. He even managed to get 6 train tickets for us on the Nanu oya - Ella train which was a beautiful train ride offering amazing views of tea plantations and waterfalls. This was the first international trip to 4 of my family members and Mr. Dhanuka really made it a memorable one for them. I would 100% recommend Hellow Travels to any one planning to visit Sri Lanka without a second thought. Thank you Mr. Ahamad and Dhanuka from Hellow Travels for everything and i wish you all the best in your future endeavors. Lastly, at the time of booking the tour, travel triangle executive informed me that they will contact me everyday during the tour for any feedback/assistance which never happened! So it would have been good on their part if they really kept up their promise.

Special thanks to Asik for making us understand and clarify doubts! Gifting a surprise last minute was the sweetest gesture! 2) Our guide cum driver and now a good friend Mohammad, understood our taste buds within no time and stopped at the perfect lunching places and we could have the best Sri Lankan food !! Also he was very cooperative and shared so many things about the country’s culture and lifestyle!

When landed in Colombo, we met with Neel(the tour guide/driver). Neel is about 70 year old person. We were little skeptical whether Neel would be able to take us through our trip. I called up Damitha and he gave us confidence. As the days went on, I realized I was wrong about Neel. Neel has about 40 years experience as tour guide/driver and we were very fortunate to go with Neel. He is an excellent driver and enthusiastic man and this made me realise "age is just a number". With so much of his experience, he shared with us a lot. We were able to cover almost all the places listed in the Itinerary. We did tour of Colombo, Kandy, Sigiriya, Dambulla, Nuwara Eliya, Ella, Yala National Park(safari), Mirissa(whale watching), Hikkaduwa(water sports including diving), Bentota. Not at a single place they deviated from the Itinerary and this is called being professional. I have a feeling of contentment by going with Tripslk. I would definitely recommend Tripslk(Damitha and Neel) to my circle of friends and acquaintances who are planning Sri Lanka tour.

erary. Due to which, there was hardly any time left to explore cities Kandy/Dambulla on the day of arrival. There wasnt a single day that we left hotel after arriving which means driver was free after 5/6 and we managed dinners on our own. The driver was reluctant to bring us out for dinner and suggested to take an auto-rickshaw. Price list shared for attractions was not latest and verified. When questioned, we were told that those are non peak rates. Why would you provide non peak rate list to someone who is travelling during peak period. We liked our hotels especially at Kandalama , Yala and Bentota. Nuwara Eliya hotel could have been better.

I couldn’t have asked for more in a 4 days trip. Our driver Imendra was very helpful and SHA travels did their best in arranging the trip. I’d recommend them to anyone travelling to SriLanka. Sigiriya rock, Madu river safari, Galle fort

Point 2 - Advice to travel triangle is that when people are believing you and your suggested best itinerary, so please give rough idea about ticket cost in US currency. We were always asking about currency exchange, water sports cost to our travel agent. You people should be proactive and mention all the necessary things should be done by us in advance. Because some people have their first international trip and don't have much experience about new country culture, travel and so on. The good things are cultural dance show, turtle hatchery, Madu river ride. So overall experience was 2.5* out of 5.
