Saket's 6 days trip to Sri Lanka

The booking experience with Trip Travel Hub was good, but i recommend people to get activity included properly in the itinerary as driver cum guide follow that only. Our Chauffeur Mr.Sugath was punctual & polite through the trip. I recommend people to search & get activity included in the itinerary. You need to push them for covering your activity else they will cover the default activity. Kandy was boring for us as tooth relic temple , spice garden all were boring according to our taste. As requested trip travel hub were unable to arrange train ticket which was spoiler. But drive towards Nuwara eliya was good & Sita Amma temple visit was also good. Drive towards bentota was very hectic as it took 7hours or whole day. Best part of our trip was at Benota, Beaches were awesome , clean & relaxing. There are many hotel on beaches you can search yourself & dont include dinner with hotel. You can stay near Hikkaduwa beach & then there are many eateries to explore for local fish cuisine. There are many beaches so you can plan 3 night stay at benota also. Turtle Hatchery was worth the cost. Madu river safari was also good. All in all good experience. If you like beaches more you can stay in benota area for your whole 4 or 5 night trip. Mr.Kavindu was good with our booking & answering our query. Only issue we faced was getting itinerary modified as per our requirement.

We booked the land package for 5N6D Srilanka from Travel Triangle.. Faced some initial hick-ups while booking. However, the trip was memorable and was very smooth. Both the Hotels we chose and stayed in were excellent and had beautiful rooms with nice view .Travel agent ensured the trip went smooth and accident free. From early morning pickup to drop back at Srilanka Airport we enjoyed each and every bit of the trip. Our driver "Janak" was an awesome guy who not only drove well but was very courteous and soft spoken. He wasn't for once even denied an extra stoppage ( as with our kid we had to take multiple breaks). There was no unnecessary interference or suggestions either. Brilliant guy!! Cinnamon Bey Beruwala: Property at bentota was huge with an ocean view room. It had multiple activities for kids in play area. A swimming pool for both kids and adults, live musical evenings, weekly cultural show, close proximity to beach and nice food.. Turtle farms, Hikkaduwa beach ( famous for snorkelling), bentota beach area, madhau river safari we had a nice experience.

Trip was alright, Joanna from Exotic global has helped us a lot. Although, Yala National was absolute worthless to visit, will recommend to do more research on the other tourist operators, for us it was complete waste of money and time. Driver was alright, he was texting while driving which was a bit scary on the express way. Hotels were alright, Avian Breeze's washroom was as tiny as a worm hole although the room was super big, washroom was disappointing. Scuba in Hikkaduwa which was planned by ourselves and also Hoppers in Lanka is a must try

Great service by Damitha and Neel. I was searching trip quotes through various platforms and ended with Travel Triangle. Three quotes were presented initially from three different tour operators. I was convinced with Tripslk and wanted to go with them. Damitha was very co-operative and we had to modify quote couple of times until we finalized. Damitha gave us very good hotels(5* for three nights and 4* for 4 nights) for a good price. When landed in Colombo, we met with Neel(the tour guide/driver). Neel is about 70 year old person. We were little skeptical whether Neel would be able to take us through our trip. I called up Damitha and he gave us confidence. As the days went on, I realized I was wrong about Neel. Neel has about 40 years experience as tour guide/driver and we were very fortunate to go with Neel. He is an excellent driver and enthusiastic man and this made me realise "age is just a number". With so much of his experience, he shared with us a lot. We were able to cover almost all the places listed in the Itinerary. We did tour of Colombo, Kandy, Sigiriya, Dambulla, Nuwara Eliya, Ella, Yala National Park(safari), Mirissa(whale watching), Hikkaduwa(water sports including diving), Bentota. Not at a single place they deviated from the Itinerary and this is called being professional. I have a feeling of contentment by going with Tripslk. I would definitely recommend Tripslk(Damitha and Neel) to my circle of friends and acquaintances who are planning Sri Lanka tour.

Booking with Travel triangle was seamless and easy. 2 tour operator were introduced. I chose to travel with N Tours,Sri Lanka. The service were top notch. Mr. Nadeesh from N tour was there at airport 4 am to pick up. Our chauffer, Oshan was very professional and polite. Saw real 100 year old turtles on Hikkaduwa Beach.

First of all, Thanks a lot for making our trip to Sri lanka so memorable. Both the hotels in Unawatuna and Wadduwa was very good in respect of quality. I will add an extra point to this trip for the person who drove us Mr. Madu, he is an awesome human being who made our trip really unforgettable. He accompanied us like a friend. I just want to raise one issue that is regarding the resort in Wadduwa. The resort was full crowded and the location was not as good as we expected. Instead we would have loved to stay at Hikkaduwa coral reef area. Apart from this Sri Lanka trip was awesome and we will plan very soon to visit the other parts of it.

Karan's 8 days trip to Sri Lanka

There is a lot to say.. Majorly negative feedback. I was very excited from start of the trip and was happy to see the transport arranged for me, but as said we shouldn't be carried away by the skin. There was no proper guidance provided for currency exchange. The discount coupons provided were a dummy coupons as there was already discount provided by the places I visit. The coupons had no use at all. As the trip moved on I found that the itenary which was decided for me wasn't possible to accomplish. There was no way that I could have covered all the things except if I get up early by 4 am daily which isn't possible by anybody. It looked like the HONEYMOON factor wasn't considered at all while designing my iternary. It looked like the tour planner Abdul had very less idea about the on ground stuff and he couldnt judge the travel time which was a major havoc for me. The time taken to reach the destinations were almost double than what was discussed. Also the charges which were discussed to visit the places were much more than dicussed initially. As per my tour my extra spending were not more than 200usd but I ended spending 400usd. Also I couldn't cover couple of places as it wasn't possible wrt to time and money. To. Cover those places I had to spend approx 20k lkr plus get up at 4am which sounds weird for a honeymoon goers. So overall my itenary had to go throw a complete make over on the fly while I was on my trip and so couldn't enjoy the time for. Initial 3 days. It was a big waste for me. Talking about the chauffeur.. He wasnt a guide at all. Ideally drivers do describe about the city and places we visit but he dint share a word. On the way there where places which could have been described our could be added to city tour. He was never enthusiastic to show places. Whenever we used to ask if we can go here or there he would just say a no. He dint allow us to bathe in the falls where almost everyone was taking bath. He dint allow us to go on. Beach where there were enough people and nobody was harassing anybody. For initial couple of days we listen to him and dint explore anything but later we started roaming by our own the actual beauty of Lanka. I don't know if this is a rule or a made up thing that food isn't allowed inside the car. For whole journey we used to wait for our destination to eat some food. He used to ask to take halts in between but then he used to rush to reach to hotels. If by mistake we landed up with sand in the car due to Our shoes he used to make a point to blame us. We dint like it as a tourist. In hurry to reach to hotels he dint let us allow explore the journey, made us get up early and also made us reach the destination by 1or 2 o'clock. Instead he could have let us enjoy the journey and made us reach by 4 or 5 pm. On the last day as well in hikkaduwa where we dint opt for their adventure activity contact he left us at the hotel and went home and was talking to us as if we have made a mistake by not choosing his contact. He commented - 'you aren't listening to me, you don't have trust on me so go do as you like. I will drop you and leave for home, all the risk is yours and don't tell me anything'. I was expecting that he would join us to check if the person we had contacted is genuine or not, is he trust worthy and is he well known. Whenever we used to ask him for the travel time or distance he used to respond with - 'Srilankan drivers don't like such question, so don't as such questions'. His overall behavior was just not professional. Few hotels were unknown to him and we used to surf the roads to find the hotels. Tropical Ceylon wasn't professional at all wrt to booking hotels. They hadn't properly informed and emphasised that we are a honeymoon couple and we are vegetarian. We had to face a lot of issue wrt to morning breakfast at hotels except for Kandy and weligamby/mirrisa. In my whole trip there was no promptness from my POC - Hansi. She dint bother to talk to us for a day to discuss my stay and food and travel. There where many queries raised but they weren't answered in best way and wasn't instant response. I wanted to cancel 1 place as my budget was exceeding but that call also wasn't take until last day which was too late and I ended spending the amount. The hotel at hikkaduwa - Heaven seven is just pathetic. Please do not suggest this hotel to anybody. There was no proper staff, no food at all, no hospitality. I had to pay for milk powder as well to make tea in my room. I am not happy with both the vendors - Tropical Ceylon and Travel triangle. 1stly until I made the initial payment POC used to call and msg everyday but after I made the payment there was no single call or msg for 2 months. This isn't the exact service a customer would expect for paying the convince fee. If there is no courtesy to keep the customer in loop for the status of booking there is no need to charge for that service. My travel POC were changed from Tropical Ceylon and Travel triangle and there was no contact from New POC until I approched 5 days prior my departure.

The overall experience has been fantastic.. very nice cab, amazing driver and a great itinerary. Only set back was the hotel at bentota, they hotel Riverside Araliya is really a sub standard hotel and should not be included in 3 star package at all, it lacks basic facilities and service is really bad. I would suggest that you add hikkaduwa to the plan since there are so many water sports available in that area.
