For you to choose a Rafting expedition that suits your mind and physical capabilities, there are 5 levels of waters depending on the degree of throttle it lends.

Class 1: Narrow passages of rapids that might require slight maneuvering. (Skill level: Beginner)Class 2: Slight rumbling water that might have some occasional rocks requiring responsible maneuvering. . (Skill level: Basic paddling skill)Class 3: This has small waves with a small predictable drop but is fairly safe. May require significant maneuvering. (Skill level: Some experience in Rafting)Class 4: Whitewater that has medium waves with a considerable drop and rocks. Sharp maneuvers may be needed.(Skill level: Exceptional Rafting experience)Class 5: Foaming waters with large waves and volume, possibility of large rocks and hazards sharp drop requiring precise directioning. (Skill level: Full mastery of Rafting)Class 6: Class 6 are dangerous. Rafters can expect to encounter substantial whitewater, huge waves, huge rocks and hazards, and/or substantial drops that will impart severe impacts beyond the structural capacities and impact ratings of almost all rafting equipment.
