The light from the Dwarka lighthouse has a maximum reach of about 16 kms and the lighthouse itself is 40 feet high and is situated about 107 metres from the point of highest sea level. There is a radio beacon provided in the Dwarka lighthouse which is powered by a renewable source of energy. The beacon uses photovoltaic cells to get power. The lighthouse has staff quarter, power house and inspection quarter and along with that a holiday home.
