There is no dearth of religious places in Dharamshala, famed as it is for its temples and monasteries. Although there are many small temples in Dharamshala, the most famous ones are the Bhagsunag Temple and the Jwalamukhi Devi Temple. Both the temples are considered important pilgrimage center for Hindus from all over the state, as well as the country. The Bhagsunag Temple is located quite a way up a steep climb, but the path is well maintained and have small benches on the way to sit and relax for a while before starting on the journey again. The temple and the view from the top will make all the pain of walking up to it worth it. The Jwalamukhi Devi Temple is located closer to the city center and is comparatively easier to get to.

Our recent experience with the agency was mixed due to several issues: Driver working hours – There was no clear mention of the driver’s working timings in the itinerary or booking details. This led to confusion and inconvenience during the trip. According to him his timings were from 6 am to 8 pm

which we were not informed at the timing of booking or later also. Chandigarh itinerary – The planned schedule for Chandigarh was unrealistic and could not be followed as promised. I had even pointed out the same but yet was told that those activities were possible. This reflects poor planning and lack of practical consideration for travel time and feasibility. Hotel selection – On a positive note, the hotels chosen were well-selected and provided a comfortable stay, which was the highlight of the trip.
