Mahamaya Temple

The best-known temple in Sunder Nagar, set on a hill at about 1,134 m and reached by a stepped climb. It draws thousands of devotees through the year and gives you a clear view over the town and lake from the top. Formerly known as Suket, the old princely town grew around shrines like this one.

Murari Devi Temple

A harder, higher pilgrimage on Murari Dhar ridge at about 2,133 m (7,000 ft), reached on foot from the road head. Local belief credits its origins to the Pandavas. The ridge often gets snow in January, so it suits a clear-weather day trip rather than a monsoon or deep-winter visit.

Bhutnath Temple

Built in the 1520s in the centre of town and dedicated to Lord Shiva, this is the temple most people pass first. It comes alive at Mahashivratri in spring (usually February or March), when the town marks the festival with real energy.

Sukhdev Vatika

Sheetla Mata Mandir and Rewalsar

The Sheetla Mata temple sits about 2 km from the BBMB control gate and rounds out the local temple circuit.
