About Simsa Mata Temple in Mandi
Simsa Mata Temple in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh is made in honor to worship goddess Simsa, who is known to be the “child-girl” or “Sharadha Devi”. Every year, a large number of devotees visit this temple as it holds a special significance with itself and a belief that gives this temple a unique identity. Sallindara, a festival held at the Simsa Mata mandir during Navratri invites devotees in a huge number. The word ‘Sallindara’ literally means dream. During summers, the Simsa Mata Mandir Himachal Pradesh is seen sparkling with a crowd of worshippers for 2 days, when a large fair is held at the temple. Another tourist destination from the temple is called Kuddu, which is at a distance of about 3 kilometers.
