History of Prashar Lake
There is a mysterious story hidden behind this lake. The name Prashar comes from a sage named Prashar who had meditated here for a long time. This lake had been created by a Pandava brother, Bhima. While returning from the Mahabharata war, Lord Kamrunag found the neighboring areas so serene and beautiful, that he wanted to stay here forever. For the same reason, Bheem used his power and created a big indentation by his elbow, resulting in the formation of the lake. However, this led to the fracturing of his elbow and he was later hospitalized for a few days.
