About Hazara Rama Temple in Hampi

One of the most unique and popular temples in Hampi, the Hazara Rama Temple is a gorgeous Temple located at the center of Royal Enclosure. It is dedicated to the Hindu deity,  Lord Rama. Among the many unique things, the name ‘Hazara Ramaswamy Temple’ stands out as it literally translates to a thousand Rama referring to the numerous bas-reliefs depicting the entire Ramayana carved onto the walls of this Temple.

The Hazara Rama temple was built by Devaraya II, the king of Vijayanagara in the early 15th century. Originally a simple structure consisting of a sanctum, Ardha Mantapa and a pillared hall, the Hazara Rama temple was once used as a private temple for the king and royal family of Vijayanagara. The temple was renovated later to add an open porch with elegant pillars. The pillared hall contains a stone platform at the center on which black pillars have been erected. The interior of the temple has heavily ornamented and carved columns. An empty podium stands inside the sanctuary with three holes on it signifying that the temple once held idols of Rama, Laxmana and Sita. With a sprawling lawn on the Northern side, the main entrance for the Hazara Rama temple is located on the east and small doorways in the south lead to the durbar Area. The temple represents an excellent example of the Vijayanagara architecture.

While the trip was enjoyable overall, there were a couple of areas where I believe improvement is needed. Itinerary Suggestions: The itinerary provided could have been more thoughtfully tailored. Hotel Rooms & Houseboat Quality: Unfortunately, the hotels and rooms selected did not meet expectations. Considering the price paid, the accommodations were below standard. Additionally, there was a discrepancy between the pictures shown during booking and the actual rooms. The rooms were not as clean as they should have been, which was disappointing. Overall, I appreciate the efforts made by Travel Triangle, but there are areas for improvement to ensure a higher quality experience for future travelers. Thank you for the opportunity to provide feedback.

Hi, I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to provide some feedback regarding the itinerary for my recent trip. While I appreciate your efforts in organizing the trip, I found that the itinerary was not as well planned as expected. Firstly, the places to visit in the selected locations seemed poorly organized. Some of the destinations mentioned in the itinerary like Dam in Coorg and Sakleshpura didn't exist or may not be operational and waterfall in Sakleshpura is a private property that we cannot visit without permission. Additionally, the sequence of the places was not ideal. The travel flow felt disjointed, and there were long travel times between certain cities, which could have been optimized to make the trip more enjoyable. I hope this feedback can help improve the planning for future trips, as I believe with better organization and sequencing, the experience would have been much more seamless. Very good and smooth experience. This was my second time booking with Travel Triangle. We traveled to Bengaluru - Coorg - Mysuru with senior citizens. Initially I was worried about planning entire trip comfortable for everyone however I received quotes on time. The travel agent Sree Ganpati Travels arranged everything smoothly.
