Roopangarh Fort is situated in the Roopangarh town of Rajasthan. Initially it was a palace and a fortress, now, it has been turned into a hotel. However, the palace has been standing tall to still portray its history that dates back to 350 years. History Of Roopangarh Fort
Roopangarh Fort, Rajasthan is an iconic fort that depicts the glorious history of Roopangarh and its nearby places. The fort was named after the ruler Maharaja Roop Singh who was also responsible for building the fort. It was established in the year 1648. Like many other forts, this too was built with a strategic point of view. Over time, it became a hub for trade, artisans, and a point to carry various other business. Now, it has been turned into a hotel. Since 1999, it has been operating as a hotel with 20 rooms. Part of the palace has been redecorated, however, a lot of it still remains the same along with traditions and the authentic method of food preparation. Many guests flock to this place to spend a few days savoring the best of Rajasthani cuisine.
