Given that lakes in Jodhpur are not as popular as lakes in Udaipur, Kaylana Lake is a delightful retreat for tourists in the Sun City. Go on a boat ride across the pristine Kaylana Lake in Jodhpur and enjoy a scenic retreat from the mundane city life. Go on a solo ride here or go with your friends and family and enjoy a quiet picnic here amongst the beauty of nature and take in the majestic views of the sunset. This lake is surrounded by Babool trees in full bloom that give this area an exotic appeal. You will love the spectacular canvas of colors across the skies of Jodhpur.
Since the lake does not sustain enough water level throughout the year, tourists can’t enjoy boating in Jodhpur. This is also an ideal spot for bird lovers as you will be able to spot a variety of species like the Siberian crane. There may also be a number of wild bears in the forests surrounding the lake so keep your eyes and ears open.
Stroll around the Pratap Sagar garden surrounding the lake where you will get to see a variant species of birds and animals. Don’t jump into this lake as it may be quite deep and it could end up being very dangerous. The best time to visit this kaylana lake is from January to March and October to December when the weather is cold and enjoyable and is ideal for boating trips and sightseeing tours.
