View the epitome of Rajasthani culture and history at this park, that lies at the foot of the tourist hotspot Mehrangarh Fort. The best time to visit this park is during July to October as there are plenty of rain showers during this time which makes the whole area colorful and full of greenery. You can also pay a visit here in October to February as the grasses and plants are in full bloom and sparkle in the golden sunshine, making it ideal for nature walks.
View the variety of flora and fauna at the Rao Jodha Desert Rock Park like the Kumatiyo, Rohido, and Hingoto and birds like the Great Egret, the Grey Francolin and the Indian Cormorant. You must also pay a visit to the native plants nursery and watch the seedlings grow into beautiful regional plants. This nursery lies near the public drinking water station or the ‘piao’ on the way down from the Mehrangarh fort. This park is open from 9 am til 5 in the evening on all days so make sure you plan your visit accordingly.
