How To Reach Trekking
Coonoor is located about 70 kilometres from Coimbatore and some 20 km from Ooty. Along the road from Ooty to Coonoor and Coonoor to Kotagiri, there are several trails leading to waterfalls and viewpoints.
Most trails begin from upper Coonoor, just above the town centre. Hidden Valley is the most accessible of all. While Lamb’s Rock and Dolphin’s Nose are about 10 km from Coonoor. One can also take a toy train to reach near Lamb’s Rock. Trek to Katary Falls begins near Kattery Park, located a short walk from Coonoor. This two-hour trek passes along two small temples and through the forest. Trek to Pykara Waterfalls and Glenmorgan View Point start from Masinagudi.
