With over 4,000 years of cultural history, the southernmost state in India features some of the most stunning temple architecture and living tradition of music & dance in the country. Let’s take a closer look at the best tourist places in Tamil Nadu.

There is no dearth of top places in Tamil Nadu, be it a holiday or a honeymoon. The capital of Tamil Nadu, Chennai is one of the four major metropolises in India. Formerly known as Madras, the city is known for its beaches, ancient Tamil architecture, colonial history, and cultural festivals. One of the top attractions in Chennai, Marina Beach is the longest urban beach in the country. Referred as the Manchester of South India, Coimbatore is one of the most visited cities in Tamil Nadu. Madurai, the cultural headquarters of the state, is also known as Athens of the East for being the oldest city in Tamil Nadu. Sri Meenakshi Temple, Thirumalai Nayak Mahal, and Gandhi Memorial Museum are top attractions in Madurai.

Thanjavur finds itself among the top in the list of popular historical places in Tamil Nadu. A vital centre of South Indian art and architecture, the city is renowned for Tanjore paintings and for producing exquisite handicrafts. With the natural beauty of tea states, green rolling mountains, and sprawling grasslands, Ooty ranks high among the summer tourist places in Tamil Nadu.

Another one of the hill stations of Tamil Nadu, Coonoor lies only 19 km from Ooty at an altitude of 1930 metres. Call it Pondicherry or Puducherry, the allure of Frech culture and Cajun cuisine in this scenic coastal town never fades away. Cab driver was good but cab vendor behaviour was unprofessional. Just for Rs 300 he made the vehicle stop in the middle of the trip. He was not even ready to listen to me.

Srkahmed's 2 days trip to Tamil Nadu

This was my first time traveling with TravelTriangle, and I would like to sincerely appreciate Vishwajeet Singh for his consistent follow-ups and assurance that everything would go smoothly. He asked us to trust him—and he delivered. Even during the trip, he checked in to ensure we faced no issues. I truly believe he is a valuable asset to your team.

Vikrantgehlot's 5 days trip to Tamil Nadu

Overall trip was very good. Hotels accommodation was also good. Driver was professional and cooperative but vehicle Innova provided was although neat & clean from inside but since it was very old hence was not good enough for hill station rides and pickup & speed was lacking. Travel agent was not upto his words regarding payment. Previously he gave us the option to pay 2nd installment after reaching the hotel while booking the package whereas he asked us to pay 2nd installment instantly 1 day before beginning of the trip. Although travel triangle team told us not to pay any other person or agent. My feedback is to improve the payment system such as paying 50% advance and remaining 50% during the trip. Or 50% advance and 25% at the start and remaining 25% at the mid of the trip, as per convenience.
