How To Reach Dhanushkodi in Rameshwaram

Dhanushkodi is a place, located nearly 20 km from Rameshwaram.  To reach this place, one needs to cross over to the Pamban Island from the mainland. The best way to do this is by train, through the famous Pamban Bridge.

Being a deserted town, Dhanushkodi doesn’t have any direct transport services. Visitors can reach from Rameshwaram to Dhanushkodi by bus or cab as Rameshwaram is the nearest town

To reach from Chennai to Dhanushkodi, tourists have to take a train or bus to Rameshwaram, as Dhanushkodi does not have a train or bus station, and the nearest stations are in Rameshwaram. From here, tourists can board a taxi or hire a cab to reach Dhanushkodi.

Similarly for visits from Bangalore to Dhanushkodi, trains and buses to Rameshwaram can be taken. On reaching Rameshwaram, they can hire a cab or hop in a taxi to reach their destination.

    The entire trip was planned really well and we were very happy with the arrangements. Our cab and driver was very helpful and he ensured we covered all the locations that are planned. The hotel in Kanakumari and Pondicherry could have been better as the break fast and rooms were not expected , the b
    est arrangement was in Rameswaram and the hotel Arjuna was really good. The only challenge which i see is i did not get the trip invoice requested for claiming my TA and did not get any support from the agent. It would have been a great if i was supported on this front.
