One correction worth stating plainly, because older listings for this route are wrong. There is no through-carrier called "Thai International Airlines" flying Bangalore to Krabi. Bangalore to Krabi Flight Cost and Best Time to Book

One-way fares from Bangalore sit in a wide band. A cheap one-stop through Bangkok or Kuala Lumpur can start near Rs 8,000, while the IndiGo nonstop and fast, well-timed routings run closer to Rs 12,000 to Rs 18,000. A return usually lands somewhere around Rs 25,000 to Rs 33,000, and peak-season or last-minute seats push past that. Two things move the number more than anything else.

• The calendar. April, July and August generally see the softest fares. The December to February peak and the long Indian holiday weekends push prices up.

From Krabi Airport (KBV) to Krabi Town, Ao Nang and Railay

Krabi International Airport (KBV) is about 15 km east of Krabi town and roughly a 30 to 40 minute drive from Ao Nang, the main beach base. You have three easy ways onward. The airport shuttle bus is the cheapest, at around THB 150 a head to Ao Nang or Krabi town, and it runs to meet arrivals. Shared minivans and songthaews cost a little more and drop closer to your hotel. A metered airport taxi is the quickest door to door option if you are in a group or landing late.

Alternate Route: Fly to Phuket (HKT), Then Overland to Krabi

Phuket International Airport (HKT) is the bigger, busier gateway to Thailand's Andaman coast, so it often carries more Bangalore connections and, at times, cheaper fares than Krabi itself. If the KBV fare looks steep, price a flight into Phuket and add the overland leg. Krabi is about 160 km from Phuket, roughly 2.5 to 3 hours by shared minivan, bus or a scenic road-and-ferry combination across Phang Nga Bay. It is worth checking whenever your dates are flexible.

Thai Visa and Entry Requirements for Indians (2026)

This is the part to check most carefully, because the rule changed in 2026. The earlier arrangement that let Indian passport holders enter Thailand visa-free for up to 60 days has been withdrawn. In its place you should expect either a visa on arrival, at around THB 2,000 for a short stay of up to 15 days, or a 60-day e-Visa applied for online before you travel, and in both cases a mandatory Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) filled in ahead of landing. Carry a passport valid for at least six months, a confirmed return or onward ticket, and proof of funds and accommodation, any of which immigration can ask to see. Because this is a moving target, confirm the current allowance, fee and conditions on the official Thai e-Visa and immigration portal before you book. Foreign nationals on other passports should check their own entry requirements separately.

By Road and By Train: The Honest Answer

You will see road, rail and even sea "routes" quoted for this trip by map tools. Treat them as trivia, not options. A road journey would run several thousand kilometres and cross Myanmar over several days across multiple borders, so it is a genuine expedition rather than a way to reach a beach holiday. There is no rail line into Krabi either; the nearest station is Trang, about two hours away, and no train connects India to Thailand. There is no passenger ferry from India.
