*** poor service from travel agent as well as travel triangle *** The travel agent helped in planning our itinerary very nicely. We chose all our hotels and even gave them the quotes and type of rooms. But even after that they were not able to book the chosen hotels and in couple of hotels, the rooms that were provided to us were different from what we had discussed. On top of it the travel agents were of no help when called during the trip ( Kiran and Abhitabh). Biggest disappointment, the travel triangle designated person (Rohan Kaul) never picked up the call when we tried to contact him as well.

It was a wonderful experience for all of us - lots of great memories were made. Travel talkies gave 5star service All the arrangements made were up to the mark. The hotels and transportation arrangements were excellent. The Hotels we stayed in had amazing scenic views, were very nice and clean, staff served us the best including clean and yummy food! The two drivers arranged for our group were very cooperative, polite and friendly. Their driving skills were excellent and safe. In addition, they were well informed of the tourist spots and they took us to good restaurants on the way to enjoy the local food. We enjoyed their company. Overall: Exceeded expectations. Special Thanks to Miss Reetu Sharma our Tour Organizer for all her efforts and putting this wonderful trip together. We look forward to collaborating with you in the future and will recommend you to our friends. Until next time, take care, & Best Wishes.

Important Tips & Safety Measures For Spiti Tour

  • The first and foremost thing to keep in mind is the right time for Spiti tour. Choose the time according to your convenience and sightseeing possibilities.
  • You need a permit for Rohtang Pass whether or not you are a foreign national.
  • Once you have decided the right time to visit Spiti, next step is packing. Invest ample time to pack for Spiti tour because it is quite different from regular tours.
  • As opposed to stereotypical beliefs that Spiti is only for solo or group tour with friends, Spiti is an adventurous destination for families as well.
  • Although you will be going on an adventure tour, take out a little time to buy any of the popular items - local warm socks, sweater, shawl, roasted barley, dry cheese, barley powder and Sea Buckthorn Tea.
  • As an important part of safety measure, start your trip from Shimla and end at Manali because it will help you get accustomed to the climate, and the gain in altitude from Shimla is gradual as opposed to sudden increase.
  • Do not ignore even a minute sign of Acute Mountain Sickness for it may lead to fatal results.
  • Avoid a night stay at Chandratal if you are travelling from Manali because it increases the risk of AMS or Acute Mountain Sickness. You must also avoid staying at Chandratal if you are bringing kids along or anyone in the group with breathing problems.
  • Try the local food in Spiti. You can also try a mix of Indian and Tibetan cuisines which are a specialty here.
  • Beware of shooting stones which are actually pieces of rocks falling from the top of the mountain.
  • Although choosing the right time for Spiti is a personal choice, yet we suggest you to avoid traveling to Spiti between the months of October to April for your maiden trip.
