Kashmir Trekking Package

A walk among the clouds, the mountains, the vast beds of flowers would give you a very good idea why Kashmir is one of the best places to devote your time on a trek. Kashmir provides travelers with a wide range of adventurous opportunities which is guaranteed to leave you speechless.
Kashmir trekking packages take you into the lap of nature for an experience which is worthy of being remembered for a lifetime.

The Most Famous Places for Trekking in Kashmir

When we talk about Kashmir, the lush greenery, sparkling lakes and the melodious songs of birds come to our mind. But Kashmir is not only about that. Kashmir is a tourist site with unparalleled beauty which cannot be defined in words. From blooming maple trees during the fall to open green pastures during the summer, Kashmir is heavenly beautiful. But nothing will come close to Kashmir during the time of early winter when the entire region is covered with a slight sheet of snow; the air is crisp with chilly cold weather. Because of the cold, not many tourists opt for a trek so you will be able to enjoy serendipity on your own without bumping into too many people.

  • Pahalgam - The major trekking attraction in Kashmir, Pahalgam is located in the Suru Valley of Ladakh. Travelers can take a two days trip in the Lidder Valley and then move on to Panikhar for a week-long trek. Tourist can also visit Sonamarg, a wonderful lake perfect for some relaxing time.
  • Tullian Lake Trek - For tourists with a short amount of time, this trek is the best for them. This trek requires an overnight journey for two days from Pahalgam which will lead you up to the calm and peaceful Tulian Lake. This short trek will take you to the best places in Kashmir.
  • Amarnath Trek - Partake this trek in the months of June-July to make the most of this trek. Get to visit the ice made “Ling” which is in the cave of Amarnath along with thousands of devotees.
  • Sonamarg to Wangat Trek - This four-day trek will take you to Nichnai, Bazkal Gali, Gadsar Lake, and Gangabal Lake. The final destination is Wanger. On the way, you get to see the well-known tourist attractions like Thajiwas Glacier, Gadsar Lake, Satsar and Dubta Pani.
  • Kolahoi Glacier Trek - Kolahoi trek will take five days to complete it. It will start from Pahalgam and end with the spectacular Kolahoi glacier. The next day will take you to the meadows of Lidderwat and then to the calm and sweet Satlanjan. On the last day, you will be traveling to Aru. In our Kashmir trekking trip packages, we have arranged for everything in order to make your trekking experience an unforgettable one.

Best Time to Visit Kashmir

The best time to visit Kashmir will be from December to February. With fewer tourists around and slightly cool and crisp weather would be a big booster for difficult treks.

Best Ways to Reach Kashmir

  • By air: Fly by air from the Srinagar Airport which is connected to all the metro cities of India. Air India, IndiGo and Jet Airways have regular flights from Delhi, Jammu, Mumbai, and Bangalore. Kashmir trekking packages are available on the website with an without flight options, so book the package as per your convenience.
  • By train: The railhead that travels to the alluring valley of Kashmir is the Jammu Tawi Railway Station. New Delhi-Jammu Tawi Rajdhani Express, Jammu Tawi Express, Jammu Mail, are some of the well-known trains that you could use.
  • By car/taxi: Another possible but not so feasible way to travel to Kashmir is by car. One can self-drive or choose to hire a taxi from Delhi. The total distance is 643 km and it takes on average 11 to 12 hours to reach Jammu from Delhi and further 6 to 7 hours to reach Kashmir. Overall, it is a very hectic and tiring journey. So, we would recommend you to drop this option unless you are a passionate long distance driver.

Hkbbkh's 7 days trip to Kashmir

There was some faux pas experienced at the end of the travel agent Trek De Kashmir in connection with the Check-in at the hotel in Patnitop. I had to wait for around half an hour for the check out as the hotel did not have any information of a booking in my name. Eventually, it was sorted out with the intervention of the travel agent but this forced waiting was unwarranted and a spoiler as well. Moreover, the travel agent could have advised me to ensure that I indeed had a post paid mobile connection in J&K, which I was not aware of. As a result, I remained without communication except through wifi (WhatsApp) only when I was inside the hotel. Our SIM cards had gone inactive as soon as we entered Jammu region. I had never experienced a snow fall even when I have been travelling for the last 25 years throughout the hills. Encountering a beautiful snowfall was the USP of this Bhaderwah tour.

Dharani's 7 days trip to Kashmir

I recently (23Nov to 29th Nov-24) had the pleasure of visiting Kashmir on a trip organized by Oscar Tours & Travel, and it was truly a memorable experience! From start to finish, everything was seamlessly planned and executed by Irshad. The itinerary was well-balanced, giving us ample time to explore the breathtaking beauty of Kashmir—be it the serene Dal Lake, the majestic mountains of Sonamarg, Gulmarg, or the charming valleys of Pahalgam. Every destination was a masterpiece of nature. Multiple options of accommodations were presented by Oscar travels during the planning stage. The accommodations were top-notch, offering comfort and stunning views, and the local Taxi Driver (Mr. Harris ) more like a friend was very knowledgeable, friendly, and always ready to help. I highly recommend Oscar Tours & Travel to anyone planning a trip to Kashmir. They made my journey a beautiful and stress-free adventure! Thank you for a lifetime of memories!

Thank you Travel Triangle and Jolly Holidays for making our trip memorable. We have booked our J&K tour in 2024 but due to some unfortunate event we have to postpone our trip. Jolly Holidays manage everything and provide us credit note against it and not a single rupee is wasted. Now come to the tour part.. we arrived Katra early morning and they provided earlier check in into rooms. We left hotel and Go to Mata Vaishno Devi️ for darshan and our darshan is wonderful experience, we returned tired and shivering in cold. On night there is very cold 略weather so we request for room heater to hotel reception but they earlier denied and later ready to provide by paying. Then I contacted our tour operator (Ms. Arjumand ma'am), they sorted everything and hotel provides. We took rest on second day and in evening we explore Katra Local market and buy Prasad and Dryfruits. Now we left to next destination PatniTop and cab came right time and we left the hotel. During on the way to Patanitop we clicked pictures on side road views. We arrived hotel and take few hours rest and left for sightseeing, we enjoyed in snow and clicked pictures and videos. We seen apple garden (fall season so not very attractive) Rose garden and may more small local locations. Then we arrived PatniTop point here we see lots of snow and enjoying it, we played in snow and making ice balls, sliding in ice. Our Driver cum guide ( Mahmood) very cooperative and supportive. He clicked pictures even in snow. After that we left for Natha Top here also we enjoyed snow and viewpoints. We are tired and left for hotel, meanwhile we enjoyed maggie and momos with tea in snow.☕ We reached hotel and it's our Anniversary so I requested hotel to arrange a cake and candles, they done everything as we needed. Next morning after breakfast we left hotel and returned to Jammu Railway station. During return on the way we enjoyed few garden and viewpoints. So I recommend anyone who Read this if you are planning to come J&K tour, give them a chance to service. Thank you Jolly Holidays and Ms. Arjumand ma'am to making our trip memorable. Thank you for reading ☺️ have a happy holiday .

Ayush's 5 days trip to Kashmir

I booked a package for 5 nights in Kashmir through Breezy travels. The service provided was overwhelming only until I paid the booking amount. The choice of hotel were average. I was told I am being provided accommodation in 3 or 4 star hotels, but 2 of the hotels were either 2 or 3 star. I was also provided an itinerary, but that mostly involved doing the activities mentioned in it by myself, as the driver provided to us, refused to go to most of the locations/points and insisted on booking union cabs, stating that he is not allowed beyond a certain point. I found out afterwards that there is a huge scam going on in Kashmir which involves availing Union cabs and ponies in Gulmarg, Pahalgam & Sonmarg (please research it yourself). But I couldn't share my concerns with anyone as the booking agent stopped responding to my calls or messages after I paid the remaining amount on 3rd day so I was left helpless and had to follow what our driver used to say. Anyways Kashmir is still a place worth visiting and with some research, one can plan and book everything like hotels, cabs etc. by themselves and get much better deals on everything instead of booking the package through travel agencies. Also, please research about the prices of activities in Gulmarg as the amount they quote there is about 5-8 times of the actual prize.

We did had overall a good experience with travel Triangle. Thank you Arsh for curating the itinerary as per the requirement. But two things we faced during the travel which have us a bitter experience: 1. We were not intimated about the actual cost of the union cabs and guide which we needed too pay additionally. It would have been great if we knew the additional approximate amount. 2. The amount of time people demanding tip ..
