The water shows are performed in waist-deep water, and a large bamboo rod supports the puppets in the water. Furthermore, these shows basically show legends, stories of the past and other short stories that are usually narrated by grandparents to their grandchildren.

  • Temple of Literature In Hanoi

Temple of Literature is considered as one of Hanoi’s most sacred places, not only for religion or spirituality but for education as well. The temple was originally built in 1070 AD as a university dedicated to Confucianism, during the reign of third Ly emperor Ly Thanh Tong. The architecture of the Temple of Literature Hanoi resembles the trademark Chinese style which has been followed for all Confucian temples after his birthplace. It was later renovated in bits and pieces by the Tran dynasty. What stands now is a spectacular example of Indochinese architecture and a reflection of the country’s several imperial histories as well.

Back when classism was at its peak and a norm in the Vietnamese society, only high elites, aristocrats and royals could get the chance to study in this hallowed institution of Temple of Literature. This is where the king and the courtesan’s children took their lessons in literature under Confucian faith. But eventually that passed and the sacred gates of the Temple of Literature in Hanoi were opened up to the commoners as well, thus becoming the first university of Vietnam. To honour every successful graduate of the institution, their names are engraved on the stone stele at the top of the stone turtles.

When one visits the Temple of literature, they can explore five courtyards separately and the engraved names of the graduates. The first and second courtyards are beautiful and well-maintained gardens and the third one has a large pond which is called the Well of Heavenly Clarity. The fourth courtyard is home to a statue of Confucius and the House of Ceremonies, thus called the Sage Courtyard. The last and final one is called Tha...

    • Trip to Vietnam

I loved how prompt the travel agent was. She was always available for me when I needed her. I’ve rated low for the hotels because of my experience with them. First hotel: Tu Linh Palace has ants in the room and on my bed even after changing the room. Second hotel: Duc Vuong was super noisy. I was given room on the top floor and at around 12am I woke up because I could hear noise from the rooftop bar. I called the reception and they came to my room at 12am offering room change. I was very tired and had a flight next morning so I just managed and slept off. This has got nothing to do with the travel agent. The travel agent Sophie was wonderful and she even met me and took me out for famous Egg Coffee

the only reason why I have rated 3 stars for hotel is because of the cruise.. cruise was absolutely not as it was shown in the pictures on the app which was a little disappointing. apart from that all the hotel booking were absolutely nice as per my budget and Jenny was there throughout to help with anything needed. thanks for the amazing trip filled with super nice memories!!

My trip was very well organised and both Eric and Megha were very responsive all throughout. I have to specifically mention that Eric was a great organiser. He was always in touch and he personally met me couple of times during my trip to ensure that things are all fine. Due to unavoidable circumstances my previously arranged trip to Fansipan along with cable car tickets got cancelled. But Eric was keen to refund the money and provide me with the option to opt to another tour instead. All in all, I am very happy with the service provided by Eric and the group and will totally recommend them to anyone. All the Best Eric and Thank you very much!
