Some Highlights Of My 9 Days Trip To Andaman
While indulging in various experiences, I made the most of my Andaman trip. Here are some excerpts from my electrifying & soul soothing vacation.
1. Port Blair
I started off my journey while visiting Corbyn Cove Beach & Cellular Jail. Talking about the beach, it was a cozy beach where there wasn’t much of a crowd. Apart from this, Cellular Jail is a place one should not miss while visiting Andaman. Right when I entered this site, I could feel the patriotism all over the place. There was also a light and sound show which took the audience back to the history of the freedom struggle. Next, I watched a Movie in a multiplex in port Blair & went to Chidiya tapu in the evening which is famous for the sunset & sunrise.
2. Havelock island
Is you want to try water sports in Andaman, then Radhanagar Beach is the place to be. With a private ferry I reached Radhanagar Beach which is on Havelock Island. With crystally white sand, this beach is touted as one of the best beaches in Andaman. What I liked most about the beach was the cleanliness around it. Tourists as well as locals have been taking care of this beach. Like many, I also tried my hands on various water activities and believe me, the experience was out of this world!
2. Neil Island
Next, I visited Howrah Bridge on Neil Island. It was such a fantastic day for me. The bridge is indeed a natural wonder. I felt that walking on the dead corals was a bit uncomfortable, but the beauty of the place was worth the effort. There were many guides who were showing travelers various kinds of corals and marine life. Also, on Neil Island, my accommodation was in Summer Sand beach resort where I had a sea view room. And while staying there, I could spend a blissful time while hearing the sound of waves in my room. Needless to say, I had such a fantastic time!
4. Ross & Smith Island
My next and last stop was Ross and Smith Island what was again a was out of the world experience. These two unique islands are connected by a sand strip and interestingly, during high tide, it vanished. The island is surrounded by water in the middle of the sea and the best part was that one can walk in between two islands which is divided by the sea. I would definitely recommend travelers to visit this place to see the best of Andaman. Also, this is a remote island, so you cannot stay overnight.

Locals And Hospitality In Andaman
Needless to stay, locals in Andaman are really cordial and are always on their toes to assist travelers. Out of several wonderful experiences, meeting with the Localities was also a superb experience that I came across.
My Personal Expenses In Andaman
For a solo traveler like me, approximately 20k was enough for personal expenses. In my package, there was only breakfast included, so I spent a big chunk on food. Apart from this, I really didn’t have to spend much on anything and TravelTriangle covered almost all the experiences that I wanted to have.
Shopping In Andaman
I had a great shopping experience while visiting various markets in Andaman. I purchased some Nicobari stuff & T-shirts with having Map of Andaman on it. Mostly goods are made in Nicobar in port Blair. I would recommended travelers to buy statues of Jarwa tribes which are worth to purchase.
Restaurants In Andaman
I found Light House to be one of the best restaurants in Port Blair. I used to eat twice a day there because the food was really tasty with a pocket-friendly budget. One should definitely try Pomfret Fish which is the specialty of that restaurant. You can have the pomfret fish in 700INR. Apart from that, you can have a beer to get chill with super tasty food there.
