They say the place doesn’t matter, but the company does. So, taking a trip to Andaman with my family was the best decision my husband and I made this year. Since the holiday involved people from the age group of 20 to 85 years, planning it wasn’t a cakewalk at all, but the experience was still incredibly kick-ass!
Knowing that the things to do with family in Andaman were majorly going to be the highlights of our holiday and that we had our granny & a few youngsters in the group, both of us had a sure shot idea that the trip needed meticulous planning.
So, we were looking for pocket-friendly tour packages online and that’s when we came across TravelTriangle. Both of us did quite a lot of research and spoke to a lot of agents over the phone before we finally narrowed down to ‘Lets Go Andaman’, who was offering the best of sightseeing.

Day 1: Visiting Corbyn’s Cove, speed boating & touring the Cellular Jail
Brimming with excitement, we boarded our flight from Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport around 7:45 AM and reached the Veer Savarkar International Airport in Port Blair around 10:00 AM. Upon reaching the land of beaches, we were greeted by Mr. Naresh and Vivek, who welcomed us and later dropped at our hotel for freshening up.
After having a delectable lunch, we decided to begin our trip by visiting the Corbyn’s Cove Beach. The mystic blue color of the sea made us fall in love with Andaman at first sight. Later on, we took a speedboat ride to the Snake Island, which added a little thrill to our family holiday.

Day 2: Sailing via Makruzz Cruise to Havelock Island
The second day of our holiday was all about cruising and island hopping, which is one of the best things to do with family in Andaman. After boarding the Makruzz Cruise at 8 in the morning, we sailed across to the Havelock Island and it was an extraordinary experience. It took us some three hours to reach the island where we were greeted by the tourism representative.
We headed to the Gold Star Beach Resort, which had a private beach, and so it wouldn’t be wrong to say that it is the most exciting place to stay here. After relaxing for some time, we went to the Kalapathar Beach, one of the most tranquil beaches we had ever come across. With the crystal blue colored water, white sand and a lot of white corals, this beach is a paradise for everyone in pursuit of peace.
Our next stop was the famous Radhanagar Beach. Watching the gorgeous sunset here absolutely made our day and our visit to the beach worthwhile. With a peaceful mind and soothed soul, all of us came back to our resort and decided to call it a day.
Day 3: Snorkeling, glass bottom boat ride & finding Nemo
It was on the third day of our trip, the real adventure began. We kick-started our journey to the Lighthouse Beach where we saw the dense mangrove forests, which is home to a lot of crocodiles on our way.
Best Experiences On A 6 Day Family Trip To Andaman
Each one of us was equally excited as it was going to be our first underwater experience. While my husband, brother-in-law, and I decided to indulge in snorkeling, our parents took a glass bottom boat ride. Under the sea, we found a cute ‘Nemo’ and a lot of its friends. The sight underwater was blissful and a great experience to let the kid within us rejoice.
With new experiences and happiness in our heart, we headed back to the island. The next afternoon, we left for Neil Island by Makruzz, and were amazed upon reaching there. True to its name, the island was beautifully blue, which added to the beauty of the place.
Beach hopping is one of the main things to do with family in Andaman , and so we continued to do that even on this day of our trip. All of us again visited the Laxmanpur Beach this time where we admired the sunset for a good time.
Day 4: Exploring the Neil Island
The fourth day of our trip was all about exploring the Neil Island. We began the sightseeing tour by first visiting the natural bridge or the Howrah Bridge, which offered mesmerizing views. The next pit stops were the Sitapur and the Bharatpur Beaches where we spent an amazing time in the lap of nature. There is no denying that these beaches are the perfect spots to unwind and rejuvenate.

Post visiting the beaches, we hopped onto our Makruzz Cruise again and headed back to Port Blair. This time, it was a leisurely day out where we shopped our heart out.
Day 5: Sea walking on North Bay Island & visiting Ross Island
Our holiday was a perfect blend of adventure and peace. After spending a good peaceful time on the beaches, it was time to taste the thrill again and this time we went to the North Bay Island.
With a pumping heart, my husband, my brother-in-law, and I plunged 26 feet into the sea for an adventure sea walking experience. The experience at this place reminded us of the kingdom of Aerial, and we were enthralled even after it got over.
The rest of the time was spent touring the island and then visiting the Ross Island. A visit here is a must, especially if you’re a history buff.
Day 6: Spending a day on Wandoor Beach
Even on the last day of our trip, all of us decided to visit another wonderful gem in Port Blair, i.e. the Wandoor Beach. The beach looked gorgeous, and a visit here had put a perfect end to our trip. After spending a quality time here, we bid farewell to Andaman and headed back to the Veer Savarkar International Airport.
