1. Angkor Wat
One of the top 5 places to visit in Cambodia, the Angkor Wat is one of the finest monuments in the world. Built in the 12th century, the temple represents the basic idea of the Hindu culture that is, the mountains are the home of Gods. The main temple of Angkor Wat is built on a raised platform and is surrounded by a reservoir. The architecture of the temple is marvelous and very beautiful making it one of the best places to visit in Cambodia.
2. Bayon Temple
The Bayon Temple is one of the places of interest in Cambodia. It consists of over 200 faces carved on stones and looking in different directions. The real purpose of these faces is not known. However, it is said to be of King Jayavarman VII who built it in the 12th century. These faces look like a mix of the king’s face and Lord Buddha’s face.
3. Koh Ker
The archaeological site in northern Cambodia is one of the Cambodia sightseeing places which was once the capital of Khmer Empire in Cambodia. The place is a Cambodia tourist attraction because of various buildings with beautiful architecture of different eras, that are present in this place. The highlight of this place is a 30 m tall temple pyramid known as Prasat Thom. At the apex of the tower, there is a small Garuda carved from rock that guards the place.
4. Bokor Hill Station
Bokor Hill Station is a Cambodia tourist attraction for those who are hungry for adventure. The place has many abandoned buildings, and currently, it is closed for reconstruction. However, there are various hiking tours that can take people to explore this place. Traveling to this place on your own is currently impossible.
5. Silver Pagoda
To see the best of Cambodia, one must definitely visit the Silver Pagoda which houses all the gold and treasures of Cambodia. The place is very beautifully made and attracts a lot of tourists every year. The best thing about the place is that its walls are richly decorated with paintings and murals from the Ramayana.
Also known as Kampong Song, Sihanoukville is one of the best cities to visit in Cambodia near the Gulf of Thailand. The main attraction of this port city is its beaches and other nearby tropical islands where people go to spend some time away from the hustle bustle of the big cities. The place gives a beautiful view of the ocean and other surrounding areas.

Trip to CambodiaWe visited Cambodia and Vietnam in the month of February 2019. In Cambodia, we visited Siem Reap & Phnom Penh. Angkor Wat is a must visit place. In Vietnam, we covered Hanoi, Halong Bay, Tam Coc and Ninh Binh. Entire tour was amazing Annie (from Insight Asia) was available all time to help us and guide us. A very big shout out to Annie.

She had planned our Itinerary very meticulously considering our comforts best of the locations. Hotel provided in Cambodia was a superb experience. Hotels in Saigon and Hanoi was also very good to stay but it was more like city hotel in a busy street. Sophie you were simply excellent. Thanks for egg Coffee at Hanoi.
