Despite being small, the village of Karsog holds a magical essence within itself.

Temple of Mamleshwar Mahadev

The Temple of Mamleshwar Mahadev lies at a distance of 13 km from Chindi. It is said that the temple was found by the Pandavas back from the times of the Mahabharata. The religious tourist spot is embellished with attractive wood and slate structures. Festivals like the Shivratri and the Nalwar fair are greatly celebrated here.

Temple of Kamakshya Mata

At a distance of 17 km from Chindi lies the Kamakshya Mata temple which is a remarkable example of creative woodworking skills. It is made in honour of goddess Kamakshya and other figures like Vishnu, Bhairav and Nag Pundari. Here, you will also find a Shiva linga as the ‘bedchamber‘ of the goddess. Devotees from all over the country come here in hopes of getting a single glimpse of the goddess’ idol. During the months of June and July, a grand fair is held at this very temple.
