Located about 10 kilometres from downtown Shimla, Green Valley features a beautiful mountain range on the way to Kufri from Shimla along National Highway 22. Owing to its proximity to Shimla Railway Station, this attraction is easily accessible via cabs or taxis. Also known as the Hassan Valley, Green Valley in Shimla is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Himachal Pradesh. It is about 2200 to 2500 metres above sea level. The area features dense evergreen Deodar forest which is actually water catchment of nearby wildlife sanctuary in Shimla.
