About Ice Skating In Shimla

Shimla is known as one of the top ice skating places in India.

The hill station in Himachal offers a variety of adventure activities and out of these ice skating in Shimla is one of the most popular things to do. This is an enjoyable adventure activity as you get to skate across the frozen slopes along the foothills of the Himalayas. You can skate around the ice rink in Circular Road that is considered the largest in India. The ice skating rink at Shimla Ice Skating Club is about 15 centimetres thick. The ice skating charges in Shimla begin from as low as INR 100 per person and may go up depending on the duration of the activity.

Ice skating in Shimla usually takes place in December and January and you will get to enjoy the cool climate whilst indulging in this fun activity. Ice skating season in Shimla, which coincides with the winter, allows honeymooners and families to spend quality time together. This session happens twice, once during the morning and the next during the evening. Most of the basic equipment like caps, skates, knee pads etc are available at the rink.

If you visit Shimla in January, you will also get to witness the ice skating festival in Shimla which is organized by the ice-skating Club of Shimla. Colorful fancy dress competitions, festivals, carnivals and ice hockey matches are what you can look forward to during this festival. You will get to know when you can go skating at this club as the Municipal building next to the Scandal point hangs a balloon to indicate when you can skate and when you cannot.

Positive 1. Calm Driver 2. Rooms are good but could have been better 3. On call support - friendly staff 4. Dinner and breakfast was good Could be better 1. The price was higher than other providers they gave better rooms as well 2. No honeymoon inclusions were made but charged 3. Rohtang pass was 500 online but it charged 2000+ 4. The schedule given was not followed properly 5. Rooms were very far from the city, better rooms were there at the same price 6. The driver deviated from the agenda and took us to a potato research farm in Shimla which we find useless 7. Payment at the hotel and to the driver was very new, rather than taken care earlier
