The overall trip experience was 3/5 type.. Trip organised by Comfort destinations(Sameer) PROS: -The hotels in munnar and Thekkady were amazing. -Driver was more than perfect and also locally known as honeymoon specialist- Shan -Food was amazing and super tasty during whole trip including breakfast in hotels, local food, food at house boat in Alleppey. CONS: -Poor experience with houseboat: No TV, no ac whole day, stinking rooms, linguistic barrier with crew, boat only sailed for 2 hrs in whole day. -Many things mentioned in the itentary for 3 day(munnar to thakkedy) but driver refused to travel, later travel agent told that this was mentioned by mistake. -Driver refused to give luggage on last day due to some payment issue, it was later sorted out by travel agent. -As it was honeymoon trip, 1 candlelight dinner with room decoration was mentioned in the trip at houseboat. But unfortunately it didn't happened.. poor management.. -In Thekkady, there was no sightseeing by driver, he told to see some evening shows and go to a jungle safari. -There is a issue of advance booking in periyar tiger reserve in Thekkady, it should have been told to us in advance. Hence we tried on the spot booking and didn't get it. The munnar views and hotel was best.. Driver(Shan) was amazing

first of all thanks to Miss Sheetal from tripseller, who well planed our kerala trip. stays were excellent, princess de munnar resort was awesome place, staff was also so good and they had given well services. In Thekkady periyar meadows hotel was more than expectations, and they had given us proper service. only in kovalam, golden sand resort had disappointed me little bit, there was no food after 9:30 pm and no hot water for bath after 10 pm and double bed also not comfortable, they had joined two single bed with two single mattresses. our guide cum driver Mr. Raju sangun, were so humble person, he guided us very well about every place. Munnar is mesmerizing place. My daughter most liked Kathakali show and elephant ride of Thekkady. Kovalam beach is funfull and relaxing place. My daughter has full enjoy the sea water in Kovalam beach. Jatayu monuments is unbelievable place. Povar Island is heaven. Boating in povar lake brings us close to nature.

Pathetic services in princess de munnar hotel, bad food, bad hygiene, Despite paying 82000 for the trip at the 3rd day i got a call from the service provider boss Tarun that you have to pay the mere amount of 6700 in half hour otherwise we will instruct driver to not proceed which is very unfair to customer who has paid almost full amount, but Saakshi the executive who contacted me was very supportive. Varkala resort was the best

Types of Houseboat

1. Standard houseboats

These are basic structures that do offer neither air conditioning nor any entertainment services. These are the best to experience a traditional stay at Kerala houseboats.

2. Deluxe Houseboats

While staying true to tradition, these types of houseboats are furnished tastefully with some modern amenities. Live in comfort as you watch the slow pace of life from the open-air living area and feel de-stressed.

3. Superior Deluxe Houseboats

24-hour air-conditioning and uniformed butlers are among the superior facilities available with these houseboats. Holidaying in these houseboats are akin to living in star-rated accommodation.

4. Premium houseboats

These opulent boats are ideal for trips that last for 3 or more days. Appointed luxuriously, these spacious houseboats offer utmost comfort to help you unwind in the lap of nature.

5. Luxury houseboats

These majestic houseboats are equivalent to 5-star accommodations, and offer a lavish cruise experience. The wooden ceiling, comfortable double beds with the finest quality linen spread over them in the spacious rooms, and refined decor in the expansive lounge areas enhance the ambiance.

Facilities & Meals In Houseboats

The facilities are varied, depending upon the types of the houseboats. Some even have only lamps that can be lighted with oil and no power backup. The interior decor shows the dominant usage of coconut fiber ropes and bamboo, especially in the Standard houseboats. The Deluxe houseboats have a few air-conditioned bedrooms and fully equipped kitchen. The Premium houseboats have bedrooms containing double beds or two single beds and lounging areas are furnished with cozy upholstered furniture. These houseboats come equipped with evac systems or other biochemical alternatives and their own sewage systems. The bathrooms are fitted with hot water supplies and western-style closets. The Luxurious houseboats are equipped with recliner beds in the sitting area, daily newspapers and WiFi internet connectivity are supplied, LCD televisions with BluRay players, microwaves, mini-refrigerators, toasters and coffee makers are provided in each room. The quieter engines in these houseboats ensure uninterrupted sleep. Safety jackets are stowed on board.

All three meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner are prepared fresh on the boat. Both vegetarian and nonvegetarian options are available. You can indulge your taste buds with the delectable Kerala cuisine while on board. Multicuisine offerings are also presented subjected to availability, depending upon the type of boat you selected.

Tips For Kerala Houseboat Packages

  • Since it is not every day we go for houseboat stays, it is important that proper research and studies are done previously to make sure you know all the precautions to take.
  • Understanding the concept of the different types of houseboats is important so as to select one that suits your needs the best. It is also recommended that you go through reviews and experiences shared by other travelers previously.
  • The timings, schedule, rules and costs of houseboats should also be enquired before booking and the same should be checked from online sources.
  • Bring everything that you might need during your stay because there are no shops to buy last-minute requirements.
  • Kerala has strict laws about dressing when it comes to visiting temples so if you are planning on sightseeing onshore, pack accordingly.

One major perk of Kerala Houseboat Packages is that they can be availed by any mode of transport. The train journey is easier for people with claustrophobia and height issues, apart from being affordable. Many people love long road trips and reaching Kerala by road is an excellent opportunity for adventure lovers. There are various kinds of packages the Houseboat providers offer. Honeymoon packages, family packages, party packages, anniversary packages, birthday Packages and packages for kids are some of those. Each one specializes in activities that will enhance the vacations. To savor the flavor of a different kind of a holiday, book Kerala Houseboat Packages today and enjoy some time out of the humdrum of city life relaxing with your loved ones.
