About Bajra Sandhi Monument In Bali
In the city of Denpasar, the Bajra Sandhi Monument is a really prominent and remarkable landmark. The structure was made in the honor of the Balinese people independence struggles throughout history. The landmark is located right adjacent to the Governor's Office in the Island of Bali. The site is very huge miss gives it a hard to miss by the passerby. The grand monument has the display of Balinese Hindu priests worshipping the bell or bajra.
The Bajra Sandhi Monument in Bali is placed on the Niti Mandela Renon Public Park. Locally it is also called at the Puputan Park. Locals of Denpasar use the green square of the park every day to cycle, jog, exercise, play football, or do yoga. Until late morning, the park is filled with people dedicated to morning fitness.
Structure of Bajra Sandi Monument
Utama Mandala, Madya Mandala, and Nista Mandala are the three core architectural principles behind the rectangular shape of the monument. Utama Mandela is the center, Madya Mandala surrounds the Utama Mandela, and Nista Mandala surrounds the Madya Mandela. There are three floors in the building of Utama Mandela. There are also an exhibition room, an administrative office, and a library. There is a lake called Puser Tasik at the center of the ground floor with is the highlight of the monument.
33 dioramas (miniature theatrical exhibits in museums) are placed on the first floor of Madya Utama. All the dioramas narrate the struggles of the people of Bali covering ancient history, Balinese Monarchy, religion, western colonialism and struggle for independence. The observation deck is on the second floor to give a panoramic view of the city of Denpasar.
